Vacation rentals with a kayak in Akron

We loved our stay at Portage Lakes. Johnny is a great host. The house is clean, cozy, and in a perfect setting on the lake. My family especially enjoyed the kayaks! Highly recommend!!

Amazing place with great views and plenty to do around the farm! Workers on the farm were very polite and welcoming. Chelsea was extremely responsive and quick to address our questions. Hoping to be back soon!

Wow! A pleasure to spend a week at this amazing place. Just what we wanted as we visited family. The charm of the totally renovate old home. The majestic old trees. The beautiful lake, birds, and five orphaned fox pups being cared for by Doug made “our place” a favorite of the grandkids to visit. What more could we ask for. We’ll be often.

Had a wonderful time staying right on the lake. Be aware that there are a lot of stairs - not more than one flight; but a lot of transitional steps in between living areas. This might be relevant to anyone with mobility issues. Melanie was an incredible host and helped with all of our needs. The location is in a lovely neighborhood that is fun to explore. We really enjoyed the pier and kayaks provided.

Extremely clean house. Comfortable beds. We were able to cook all our meals with the fully equipped kitchen. Beautiful surroundings with a lot of outdoor activities.

Loved this place, we came in town for my daughter’s college graduation from Akron U.. Place was perfect nice quiet area on the lake but close to everything within 15 mins. Will recommend to friends and family traveling in the area

This is a great getaway location! Marcy did an excellent job communicating. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed having a fire, going for walks, and getting out on the canoe. Thank you Marcy!

We were in the area for a wedding and John’s place was the perfect place to relax. It’s charming and cozy and we loved being able to get out on the water. Leesville Lake really is a hidden gem. It’s the perfect spot for a weekend getaway.

The place was beautiful and we love that you can bring the dogs. There were many places to hang out at this home. There was lounge chairs and a picnic table at the dock, great comfortable chairs around the fire pit, large table and chairs on back deck, and the breezeway had a bench. There was also plenty of room to park both our 22 ft boat trailer and Jeep. My husband loved that we could bring the boat and thus he fished everyday. You are close to the fire station so when there is an emergency you will hear the alarms. It really didn’t bother us since the air conditioning units provided white noice. All the neighbors were super friendly just note that the one neighbor has a dog so if your dog/dogs are on the back deck, and their dog is on the back deck, they will definitely see each other. All and all this is a super cute cottage and the host was amazing.

What a wonderful stay! Each rm had a king sized bed and they were all decorated really nice. The beds were sooo comfortable! There are two living rooms, both with TVs and nice couches. The upstairs one even has a gaming system for the kids! The downstairs living rm with the big, comfy couch was so cozy. Perfect for napping, watching movies, or playing one of the games stored in the coffee table. The bar area is nice for hanging out, or for extra seating if the kitchen table is full. The kitchen isn't huge but was just fine and had everything we needed. All the appliances are newer and nice. We liked the big balconies and decks, although it could use a refresh. The kids enjoyed the firepit, making Smores, playing cornhole, kayaking and fishing off the dock. Dave did a really great job in making this a wonderful, family friendly, place to stay with lots of amenities and fun things to do! He was also prompt in getting back to us on any questions we had. We will definitely be back!

The place was amazing! Plenty of space for my large family of 9 and my dog! The golf cart was awesome, my little niece and nephew loved going on rides! We rented a boat for the afternoon one day and had a fantastic day! And they’re pet friendly! The little beach down the street was nice! Plenty of chairs already down there! We had a fantastic family vacation! Will be back again! Thank you!

This property is absolutely beautiful and amazing. We were greeted with a cute welcome sign and fresh baked cookies! There is so much for kids and adults of all ages to do. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway to reset or just spend time this is the place.

Had a nice relaxing few days. It was clean and had everything we needed. The lake was beyond beautiful . Monica was great at making sure it was ready for us. Will definitely be going back!!

The cabin was a perfect layout for our large family graduation celebration. Everything we needed and lots of room to spread out. The large kitchen farm table was a huge gathering spot, as well as the covered front porch (very useful as it rained nearly our entire stay). Mike and Amy made it even better by being highly responsive to our needs, ensuring a memorable event.

Absolutely beautiful and worth the money. Joel was an excellent host. Wonderful country getaway, yet close to attractions and shopping. Extremely pet friendly. I have nothing but positive things to say about Joel and his place. We will most definitely consider staying here again.

We definitely enjoyed the beautiful cabin and grounds, as well as the Pool Table, Slot Machine, Golden Tee Golf Game, Theater Room, Hot Tub, and all the other amenities. The beautiful Peacocks and Cats were also great to see. The Scavenger Hunt was enjoyed by all our guests. Alan and Laura were very responsive to our needs and are great hosts. The cabin was well stocked with anything we needed and we had a great time.

Very nice place. Cute cabin in the woods. Everything was new and very clean. Front porch with glider great for morning coffee or evening drinks.

Cute cottage on the lake with a peaceful screened in back porch. We spent hours just listening to the rain on the lake and watching turtles and ducks.
