A great location in the countryside 45 minutes from Porto and 2 hours from Pinhão. Beautiful scenery , hiking around. Home is on a hill with amazing views of the Douro River. Beautiful outdoor space with outdoor kitchen and a small pool. Excellent for family vacation.

Perfect home for a few days of rest with friends or family! Spacious, well maintained and with lots of green space. Access to the house is simple and the property is not far from the center of Braga, which facilitates tours and access to supermarkets and other services.

We had an absolutely incredible stay! The house is even better than the pictures, and our host could not have been more wonderful, flexible, accommodating and welcoming. A few highlights that aren’t immediately obvious: fresh bread delivery every morning, kitchen is wonderful and very easy to cook in, charcoal grill outside is fantastic - and lovely for grilling fresh fish in! (ask if fish is available from the local fish monger!). You can also easily do a day trip into Porto from this hidden paradise. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Ricardo and his father Mario, or this amazing villa!

The place was as described in the photos and André welcomed us very courteously and very friendly. Fresh fruit and eggs were available in the kitchen. We also very much enjoyed the beautiful pool and relaxed on the loungers. André gave us good tips for restaurants in the area and was always very helpful. It's a very good base for exploring the area. We felt very comfortable and would definitely choose this accommodation again. Thank you for the great hospitality.

Very well located apartment, this period turned out to be quiet and peaceful. We appreciate the kindness of the locals always ready to inform or help. very easy relationship with Diana, her advice being particularly interesting. In conclusion, an excellent stay to be repeated if possible.

I had a fantastic stay near Esposende – this place was exactly what I needed for a relaxing getaway. From the very start, the hosts were incredibly helpful and welcoming, making sure I had everything I needed and offering great local tips. The accommodation itself was spotless, stylish, and really comfortable – even better than the photos! It had everything I could have wanted for a peaceful break, with a calm, laid-back atmosphere that made it easy to unwind. If you’re looking for somewhere to switch off and recharge, this is absolutely the place. I’d definitely come back again. Highly recommended!

We had a gorgeous stay at Matriz’s villa and the view from the pool area was absolutely breathtaking - better than the photos. Matriz was a lovely host who did everything he could to ensure we enjoyed the stay. Highly recommend.

A truly memorable stay. The landscape was breathtaking — wildflowers, birdsong, horses, and morning mist over the valley created a dreamlike atmosphere. The spa facilities and infinity pool, set against stunning views, were especially restorative. The cabin is compact but surrounded by natural beauty. We loved waking to the sounds of birds and nearby waterfall — simply idyllic. There was occasional noise from grounds maintenance, but it didn’t detract too much from the overall impression. The host was communicative and flexible with our arrival time. Thoughtful touches like the welcome wine and chocolate cake made us feel right at home. Everything was smooth and easy, and we found some fantastic local restaurants. The surrounding area is full of charm, with quiet walks, friendly people, and views we’ll never forget. We spent our days exploring and simply soaking it all in. This place made us fall in love with Portugal — we’re already looking forward to returning. Thank you!

The view from the balcony on the 8th floor with sea views is beautiful. The apartment is in an excellent location, close to the historic old town with lovely shops and restaurants. Easy walking distance to the train station with an excellent train service to Porto. The apartment appears exactly as in the photos, nicely furnished with modern tasteful decor, very clean bathroom with an excellent shower and the contemporary kitchen has everything you need. Nice modern glazed soundproof windows and doors with shutters which made it very quiet at night. We had an enjoyable stay for the week and hope to come again to the area. A very nice apartment. Extremely well furnished and very pleasant. The roof terrace allows you to rest in the open air without being disturbed. The spaces are tastefully decorated. I would recommend it without hesitating

We had a wonderful stay at Casa de Vilar de Rei where we spent two weeks as a family. If you are looking for a peaceful oasis surrounded by nature and a place to completely switch off from the world, this is it. Marta and her father Daniel were the perfect hosts - responsive, helpful and kind. Our 1-year-old son had the time of his life riding Daniel's tractor, meeting the chickens, and picking fresh fruit and vegetables from the garden. The pool is shared with the other house but there is plenty of space for everyone and we had very nice neighbours during our stay. There are lots of places to sit and relax or read in the garden - day beds, swings, benches, or the veranda with a beautiful view of the surrounding fields. The garden is also full of herbs and lemon trees. The house inside is very well equipped, and the bed linen and towels are immaculate. We had a fantastic time and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this little piece of countryside heaven. Thank you Marta and Daniel!
