Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Zamalek

I can't say enough good things about our stay at Houseboat65. I was there with five other folks - a couple & their two kids (8 & 11) and another single person. We had the three apartments on the second floor — perfect. I got lucky and slept in a gorgeous three-room space surrounded by windows, which filled the room with light. We spent a lot of time on the Nile-facing porches, chatting and having cocktails. It felt like our own little slice of calm and peace in busy Cairo. Jerome and the amazing Marie (we love you, Marie!) were beyond responsive: anything we needed (and that wasn't much: these spaces are well-stocked) or any time we needed assistance with luggage, etc., they were there in a flash. Marie served as our driver and top-notch tour guide for two days and wow - we felt so comfortable and well-taken care of. She knows the city so well and didn't hesitate to take us to some very far-flung locations. We can't WAIT to tell our friends about our stay and hope we get to come back!

My stay at Ahmed's place was great! The apartment was clean, well equipped and very centrally located. He was a very friendly and helpful host. I would come back at any time and can only recommend it!

My family and I had a great time staying at Ahmed’s place. The place was spacious and very comfortable and has a great view. It is very close to some wonderful restuarants which are all about 5 - 10 walk away. Ahmed was a great host and very prompt in responding to any questions I had. Definately worth the money. One point to raise and this is beyond Ahmed's control they closed the walk way along the Nile. Appears they doing some work so you could not use the walk way right next to the Nile. This did not destract from the great time we had. Would recommend this place.

Wonderful stay tucked back from the gate with plants all around. Our flight arrived late on New Year's Eve. Karim was a very gracious host who stayed up past midnight on new year's to welcome us.

This place was a dream! The natural sunlight poured in through the large windows every morning, making it the perfect spot to start the day. The view was absolutely stunning — I could’ve spent hours just relaxing and taking it all in. Inside, everything felt fresh, clean, and beautifully designed with a modern touch. It had all the comforts of home and more. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a bright, stylish space with a view that doesn’t disappoint!

Everything was perfect, the room had a direct view of the Nile, clean and tidy, and since Cairo was our last stop, we spent a lot of time in the room enjoying the Nile, watching movies related to Egyptian culture, and overall not very tiring.The takeaway we ordered can also be delivered directly to the door of the room, which is very convenient.Shaimma is very nice and friendly, and gave us a lot of travel tips.The location of the room is on Zamlek Island, surrounded by some nice restaurants, bars, massage shops, and there are a lot of embassies, it feels safer.There are more foreign faces on the island, but it is also a pity that many shops are at European prices, not at the local Cairo level.In addition, when you go down the elevator, you need to call the building's caretaker, you can't just press the button to control it. The first time we went downstairs, it took us about 10 minutes to figure this out. It would be better if each household could be given a badge in the future.Overall, it's pretty good.

The apartment is very nice and comfortable .. Even the 6th floor if you have a good health is not really a problem .. considering the beautiful terrace you can enjoy at this level .. I would recommend this apartment definitely

As stated by others great choice for an AirBnb in Egypt. Comments: Zamalek is a higher end neighborhood in Egypt which feels less crowded, is notably peaceful in the evenings and full of coffee shops, pastry shops etc. Restaurant choices in hotels and around the area are nice though not numerous. Seems like several non-Egyptians live here and people are very nice. So for location it’s a great choice. The apartment is perfect if you want to stay in this location and use it as a hub for your stay. Dryers are not a thing in Egypt so don’t expect one. Otherwise there is nothing missing. We are a family of 5 and there was plenty of room. As a host, Ayman is exactly who you want and the best part is he stocks some essentials to help get you started. Great grocery stores within a less than 5 minute leisurely stroll. Elevators small and only one functioning but this had zero impact on us. Area is clearly very safe. Overall would certainly stay again.

Place was very spacious and clean! Place is very close to a lot of nice restaurants and cafes. Hosts were very responsive and helpful with everything I needed (they stayed up sooo late until I landed just to make sure I made it okay!)! There is also 24 security at entrance named sayed he is very friendly as well as the security around the location! One thing I’d like to add is the internet is not that great for streaming only messaging, but it was fine because there’s so much to do around the city! Overall I loved my stay very comfortable and beautifully set.

This is our third stay in this beautiful apartment - once before last year and then at the beginning and end of a sightseeing road trip from Cairo to Luxor to Hurghada and back to Cairo. It is such a beautiful apartment, with an amazing roof terrace. Yasser is always super helpful and it really does feel like a home away from home for us now. Can’t recommend this place highly enough ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️

I had the great pleasure of staying at Tarik’s apartment in Zamalek and I can only give it my highest recommendation. The apartment is perfectly located in the heart of Zamalek, one of Cairo’s most charming and safest neighborhoods. Everything was exactly as described, if not better. The space was spotless, tastefully decorated, and offered a perfect blend of modern comfort and authentic Egyptian charm. The peaceful atmosphere made it a wonderful retreat in the middle of the city. Tarik was an outstanding host. He was always available, incredibly friendly, and went out of his way to make me feel welcome. I would gladly return anytime and highly recommend Tarik’s apartment to anyone looking for a high-quality place to stay in Cairo. Thank you for this wonderful experience.

Honestly, the location is very excellent and safe, the apartment is clean, the furniture is clean, and the host's treatment was very wonderful and in the best taste. I recommend the place, especially for families who love privacy and tranquility. There are all services under the building, and there is a very wonderful 24-hour café where you can spend the best nights.

We had a fabulous stay at Ranwa’s in Zamalek while visiting for a wedding. It was a peaceful haven in the centre of Cairo. Ranwa was flexible and helpful in messaging. The rooms are spacious and light. The kitchen is well stocked. The hot water is a bit tricky but does work. We would highly recommend staying here! Best wishes, Alex and family.

I loved this apartment and felt right at home. The light in the evenings and the many plants really added to the charm - and sitting on the balcony in the evenings was a real treat. Samia was a lovely host, provided some food and tea to ensure I had something when I got in, and was communicative throughout. The apartment is well equipped with a washing machine, dishwasher, full stove, etc. I enjoyed the neighborhood - it is very walkable and in a great location for exploring Zamalek. I will definitely stay here again!
