This place was the best! The host was responsive, the location is perfect, and the workers on the property were extremely helpful. Scooters and ATVs for rent, laundry on the property, and super close to great restaurants!

Great value... Pool is AMAZING! I can't believe we found this place. Absolutely stunning views from the rooftop pool and we loved how close we were to everything in Puerto Morales. We rented bikes and were never more than a couple mins from where we wanted to be!

We ( my wife and daughter) were there from the 12th to the 16th of May 2025. It's a beautiful place with a small pool, 2 bed rooms, 2 bath, and 3 air cons. It's better to come in your car to this place as it would get better to visit all the places around. Shawn was always there to reply to the messages and I would highly recommend this place if you are visiting Tulum.

5+ Stars for the host, apartment and location. When you book a place on Airbnb with a 4.96-star rating, your expectations are naturally high. Sari exceeded every one of them — she’s a 5+ star host! Incredibly helpful, full of energy, and a joy to meet — it was honestly worth renting the apartment just for the chance to meet her. Her local recommendations for breakfast and dinner were absolutely spot-on. The apartment itself was exactly as expected — simple, clean, and perfect for a peaceful getaway. Just like all the previous reviews, this is a full 5-star stay. El Cuyo is a gem — a quiet, relaxed haven far from the touristy chaos of Cancun and neighbouring Playa del Carmen. A couple of tips: Remember that El Cuyo is NOT in the same time zone as Cancun and if you're driving, definitely ask Sari for the best route — her advice made all the difference for the return journey. Highly recommended. I’ll definitely be coming back.

We had an amazing stay at this Airbnb in Playa del Carmen! The location was absolutely perfect—just a short walk to the beach, shops, restaurants, and everything else we wanted to explore. The neighborhood felt safe and was incredibly beautiful, with plenty of charm and vibrant local culture. The home itself was spotless and very well-maintained. You can tell the host puts a lot of care into making sure guests feel comfortable. It had everything we needed and more. From check-in to check-out, the host was incredibly responsive, helpful, and kind—truly one of the best we’ve encountered. This place really made our vacation stress-free and enjoyable. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Playa del Carmen. We'd definitely stay here again!

An excellent place to stay, the place was super clean when we arrived, José gives you all kinds of information to help you get to different parts of the city, the bedroom was very comfortable and had all the amenities available to us, there are also many places nearby to eat and buy things if you want to cook. It's the best choice to stay in this place

Beautiful accommodation exactly as in the photos, private pool + rooftop with rooftop pool, very chill atmosphere, perfect for relaxing. The owner is very responsive to the slightest request and responsive to any request I highly recommend this amazing accommodation!!

It was ideal for Tulum, close to the center on foot but also very private and undisturbed, even the community pool is great! Great host! Great apartment, good bed!

Excellent apartment, very well-equipped, quiet. The rooftop terrace is a real plus, very nice. You can do anything on foot easily. There's parking if you have a car. Carlos is the best. In short, go for it!!!

The building is beautiful, very modern and has great amenities like a gym and a rooftop pool with an amazing view of the sunset. The interior design of the apartment is absolutely perfect – incredibly cozy, and we felt at home right away. The kitchen is perfectly equipped, and there was even a steamer for clothes, which was a great extra. A helpful addition would be a mosquito net at the window. During our stay in April, there were only a few mosquitoes, but in other months a net might be useful. It’s helpful to know that there are no restaurants, supermarkets, or free public beach access nearby, so it’s best to have a scooter or rental car if you want to avoid expensive taxis. We rented a scooter directly at the front desk of the accomodation (the scooter was 600 MXN per day). We would definitely come back – the beautiful interior design made us feel very comfortable throughout our stay and it was one of the most beautiful Airbnbs we’ve ever visited.

The Casa Giraluna was a great place that met our needs completely. Its an artsy pirate home and as a single woman travelling with two kids and a dog its was excellent. Its durable, comfortable, safe, fairly private and had all the amenities needed aside from A/C and laundry. However, there were fans, a lot of windows and a great breeze that was very comfortable regardless. The lagoon is beautiful to bird watch and catch the golden hours. The rooftop is a cool feature too! The kids loved the unique artsy features of the place, it feels like a beachy pirate home! I arrived very sunstroked and tired from our travels and Carlos was very kind and welcoming, I appreciate the hospitality! All in all it was great and comfy. My only draw back was that the smell of the lagoon occasionally wafted in which was potent but expected. As well a few mosquitoes! If you are prepared mentally for an authentic jungle stay (bring a little bug spray) this place is awesome. 🤩

Everything was perfect from start to finish. The host was incredibly responsive and went above and beyond by providing excellent recommendations for local restaurants and experiences, which really made the trip extra special. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone visiting Tulum. Can’t wait to come back!

This place was breath taking, lots to do and if you are worried about transportation, don’t be you can literally walk to ATV, mopeds and bike rentals right across the street for about $40 a day depending on what you choose, we went to our excursions on our rentals. I recommend going to the beach club area for food. Gas stations are close as well as grocery stores, the actual property was amazing!!!!!!

Brittany was an exceptional host who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The property is absolutely beautiful, though it's situated a bit away from the main areas. We actually found this to be a perfect advantage - you're ideally positioned between downtown Tulum and the beach/hotel zone, offering the best of both worlds. Pro tip: Definitely rent a car. The location allows you to easily explore both the charming downtown area and enjoy upscale dining near the beach, but having your own transportation is key to making the most of your stay. The property itself was lovely and well-maintained. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat that still offers easy access to all of Tulum's attractions.

We booked Mami’s condo for a June girls trip and it was perfect for us! We used Resort Pass to buy day passes to a few all inclusives in the area. Having a clean condo with a beautiful view, a gym, a rooftop bar/pool in a gated community was such a nice alternative to being stuck at a super busy all inclusive for a week. The condo was such a nice, quiet space to land after a busy day at the beach or sitting poolside at a resort. We checked out the cenotes, Secrets at Isla Muljeres (this is a must do,) got massages and facials at the Waldorf Astoria, did some shopping and had an awesome time exploring good restaurants. Our only gripe was the front gate insists you keep a wrist band on your wrist the entire week and would sass us when we just attached them to our wallets. I understand security is important but wearing a plastic wristband for a week that you cant remove felt unnecessary. No fault of Mami’s, she is a perfect host and very communicative/helpful/kind! Book it!

Great place to stay. Ideally situated. Quiet for the most part, a low hum from a local bar’s music at night but that’s it. As someone who tries to opt for the quietest place, this met my standards there. Rooftop pool was lovely, well kept, and everyone was quiet and respectful allowing all to enjoy it in their own way. Only problem is that it’s opposite the communal bathroom for the rooftop pool so it gets loud and echoey with people going to and from it, closing doors etc… which if you fancy a day time nap, will be tricky. Other than that, great place and amazing hosts. They couldn’t have been more helpful.

This place was absolutely beautiful. The whole community was peaceful and quiet. The host was very helpful and responsive. Would highly recommend staying here. It is a bit further away from the beach and all the fun restaurants in town. So, I would recommend getting a car or renting some four wheelers near by (we did both). There were plenty of coffee shops and other little restaurants near by as well. Over all great experience and place to stay.

I love the location and it was a very good neighborhood and everybody including the host was responsive.

Host very responsive throughout and provided excellent directions. The location is the best in Playa with everything eg convenience store, pharmacy, cafe etc etc accessible within a 5 minute walk. Its also a short stroll to the beach. The unit was as described and it was hot and muggy this time of year but the a/c's worked very well. The unit was quiet despite some other reviews mentioning hearing the swimming pool mechanism from upstairs but we didnt notice that. The sound-proofing was good and the music from nearby clubs etc was also not an issue at night. The balcony was nice. The kitchen is not the most functional but we ate out and so it wasnt an issue. The roof and pools were nice and we spent some evenings there, it was never too busy, at least this time of the year. We had a car, and there is a garage in the building but parking is not the easiest because parking spaces were very teeny, so we suggest renting a smaller car if you intend to drive here. All in all terrific stay.

This was by far our best and favorite Air BNB experience ever. As we were coming from Canada, traveling abroad felt a bit stressful, especially as we were not at all familiar with the area. However, even before we arrived the hosts made us feel at ease. You will receive a highly detailed welcome document that contains recommendations for things to do in the area, restaurant recommendations, and helpful advice. This above and beyond attention to detail was so appreciated. The area residents are very kind and the location is very walkable to the main strip - bikes for rent on site as well! We had a chance to check out local restaurants that were minutes away walking, and they were fantastic. Finally, the room and accomodations exceeded our expectations. Very clean, sustainability-focused, and a beautiful pool that was appreciated especially after a day in the hot sun. Thank you so much to the hosts 😊
