We'll visit 2 of our favorite cenotes and one hacienda (historical building) on ​​this day of Mayan jungle adventure & probably (hopefully) we'll have them just to ourselves (depending on the season and the day) or at least we won't find a crowd in them. (Perfect for families, couples, groups of friends, and solo travelers). The first cenote is a cavern one, with sapphire blue water (not cold) from where we will appreciate to the bottom of it (it may vary in raining season). The second cenote is a perfectly shaped open circle with incredible emerald water surrounded by trees and birds. We’ll tell you a few things about the mayan culture as you take in the impressive views of these hundreds of millions of year old rock formation while you swim, snorkel, explore, float, do high jumps from almost 32 ft! (just for the most adventurous) or just relax in each of these cold&fresh water cenotes taking pictures. We will stay from 45 mins to 1 hour (depending on you) in each cenote, without rushing (something typical in normal tours). Finally, you will enjoy a regional artisanal organic firewood cooked meal (VEGAN & VEGETARIAN option) prepared by the Mayan community from the harvest to your plate (welcome to México!) We will start our day with a road trip to the town of Pixyah, Yucatan located an hour and a half from the city of Merida, we will visit two cenotes in the same area with enough time for us to enjoy and learn in each of the two. After spending the whole day enjoying these magical places, a family from the community will do us the favor of opening their home to us for a magnificent meal, undoubtedly a unique experience. we will talk about the culture of the region history and geography of the place. Ever heard of Zapote, Mamey, Achiote? We will explain all about them and let you taste so much more.. Then back to the beautiful colonial style hotel for hands on chopping, slicing and mixing. Immerse yourself in the sacred cenotes that surround the beautiful town of Valladolid, learn about the history and the importance of them in the mayan cosmovisión while we ride our bikes in the middle of the typical flora and fauna and places where tradition is still very much alive. We meet at our BikeTourHouse, departing to the cenote X-lakaj, a hidden gem away from touristic parades and known only by locals, where you can experience a total and almost mystical conection with nature. Take a swim while you listen to the birds sing and even get a free spa treatment from the fishes living there, ideal to forget about stress. Next stop is Chichimilia, a Little town where is possible to appreciate the real lifestyle of the locals and even taste their delicious gastronomy, then, we continue to the next cenote located in the second town of this adventure, a hidden gem in the heart of Tekom. Un viaje a la historia, ecología y aventura, todo inicia en el centro histórico de Sisal, lugar icónico de incursiones de piratas y exportación del henequén.
