Built about 100 years ago, Dongchonjae is a traditional Hanok officially certified by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Korea Tourism Organization. Dongchonjae has been operated since October 2020 by a retired couple who opened their home. Dongchonjae is on a 380.17m² plot of land It consists of one building, and the space is divided into the main building (Anche/Main House), Sarangchae/Detached House, and Annex.
