It is my third trip in Japan, I have stayed in probably 30+ different accomodations in this country. This is so far the best experience I have had. Taiji-san is a real chef and is a man of honor, my family and I feel grateful for this moment. Thank you Taiji-san, your mother and your grandfather!

16 Guests 8 Min Kumamoto Airport Theater 3 Parking

해건Rating, 5 stars1 week ago
This is a very affordable accommodation compared to the quality of the accommodation. I visited with my family and made a lot of good memories. All the buildings and objects were clean and of good quality, and the first and second floors were separated, so it was very pleasant. If an acquaintance visits Kumamoto, I highly recommend this place. It was also nice to feel the atmosphere of a Japanese house.

Bed in Mixed Dorm / ドミトリー | Izumiya Hostel Ogawa

めいゆうりんRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Good news: The host politely recommended local spots such as hot springs and izakaya to me, who was traveling alone. It was equipped with cooking utensils, a refrigerator, a microwave, pots, chopsticks and spoons, condiments, etc., so I had a very pleasant time during my stay. Also, on the last day, I became friends with two people from overseas, and after enjoying sightseeing together, we happened to live in the same area, and we had a wonderful connection where we returned to Fukuoka together. It was also impressive that I could spend time freely like at home. This is a hostel that I would especially recommend for solo travelers.Thank you very much. Worried about: I understood in advance, so there were no particular problems. At most, I was a little troubled about where to put my clothes when I used the bath.I couldn't reach the installation location above.Other than that, I'm very happy.

[Blurry place: Wind - Kaze -] Private lodging in front of Aso Shrine Aso

I stayed for two nights at Sumie’s guesthouse and it was perfect for my stay. The room was lovely with lots of space, I slept very well. There is a small kitchen and an area where you can eat. Sumie is very kind and shared local recommendations with me after check-in. She also showed me the bus schedule for going to Mount Aso which was very helpful.

Amazing Amazing Amazing! Wonderful hosts, beautiful location and place they’ve created. Yuka’s cooking is incredible, the kinds are gorgeous, we loved spending time with them, and baby Kafka is a sweetie. Dinners with the family were lovely, as well as meeting the neighbours! We went surfing and chilled around the garden and local land. Thank you all for making our stay a wonderful time, we will be back and would recommend this place to everyone. ;)

Wagyu and rice farmer <free pickup and drop-off>

MakiRating, 5 stars65 months ago
Our homestay at Takachiho has been the best so far! Tomoko is the most thoughtful host we ever met, with her fluent english, she explained to us the traditional japanese culture, history and also recommend us to places only the locals know! Before bed, her kids even performed some cute ninja dance for us! So adorable! Before saying good bye, she even sang us hubby's fav song coz she overheard our alarm ringtone. Haha. Oh nearly forgot to mention, Tomoko family is Wagyu breeder & farmer. So u are free to feed the Wagyu anytime!
