We renovated a 160-year-old traditional house in 2023. The total site is 700 tsubo (2300 m ²), and the building is 170 m ², making it very spacious. While it is an 8-minute drive to Kumamoto Castle, it is a cottage where you can relax and unwind away from the hustle and bustle. The garden is full of trees and flowers, including a large camphor tree that has been there for over 160 years, black pines, Japanese maples, and bamboo forests, so you can enjoy the trees and flowers in all seasons. The host lives in the adjacent building, so you can feel at home. Take a big, deep breath and refresh yourself from the heart. ●Here’s what you need to know · There are many mosquitoes and insects because there is a garden with many trees. If you don't like insects, it may be difficult to enjoy. The facility is located in a very quiet residential area. This is a rental of an entire house. The displayed price is for up to 2 people per building. The maximum capacity is 4 people, so please enter the number of guests before making a reservation. Check-in time is from 3 pm to 6 pm and check-out time is 10 am. We will greet you in person, so please let us know your approximate time of arrival. Parking is available at the entrance to the property. There is also a cafe on site where you can eat the host's specialty tacos (from ¥1,200 per person). Please let us know in advance if you need it. You can also use the barbecue corner in the facility (facility usage fee ¥3,000 or more, please bring only materials and seasonings). There is a restaurant nearby, but it closes around 5 pm to 6 pm, so if you're going to be late, we recommend that you eat dinner beforehand.

Main bedroom has 2 beds, a big closet, working space and another Japanese style room has two futons. The kitchen is fully equipped so that you can use it for a long stay without any inconvenience. There is a wood stove in the living room which is available in winter after receiving instructions from the host. The host lives next house, but of course will not disturb you unless guest's requests. Our 花hana is located at the foot of Mt. Aso, so we coexist with the wild animals and rich nature.
