Barn vacation rentals in Wrexham Principal Area

Since my first contact, Margaret was very friendly and proactive. On our arrival, she showed me all the controls and rules. The house was the right size for my group, and the rustic style turned the space beautiful. Some small details made a huge difference on our stay, for example the Irish flags at entrance of the house. We, Motorbike Women Ireland, can't thank her enough 😊.

What a beautiful spot! I really needed a “break from it all” and this cottage had it all. Clean, warm, cosy in an absolutely stunning location. Surrounded by green fields and trees, animals, lakes and beautiful gardens. The hot tub was just Devine, especially at night when the fairy lights came on. I’ve never felt so toasty- the underfloor heating was so effective, especially as we had a cold weekend weatherwise. Welshpool is a lovely town to visit and the local waterfalls are stunning. We had a great walk around Lake Vrynwy and the Giants Hand is a must see. Lovely to see the farm animals, and the added bonus was a secure paddock for the dogs to run in. I absolutley loved my stay at The Old Barn! It was such a last minute trip (booked less than 24 hours before arriving), but Rhian was so welcoming and had everything ready for me! The Barn and the surroundings are just ideal and so picturesque. It was the perfect break from the City and a gorgeous space for me and my dog. The Barn was well equipped and there was nothing that I needed that the Barn didn’t have! I was a bit nervous about the road due to reading a few reviews, but me and my little Toyota Aygo made it up there just fine, so don’t let that put you off! Perfect location with less than half an hour to Bala and Llangollen. There’s some lovely drives and places to go for walks, the countryside around here is just beautiful. Gorgeous sunsets from the property itself or you can drive up the hills in the surrounding areas for more vast views across the countryside. I loved every second and I will definitely be back!

Alison’s property was chosen as a central location for family to come and visit during our stay. Very friendly host and well equipped holiday let. Plenty of dog blankets/throws, toilet rolls, towels and tea towels. Thoughtful ‘get you in pack’ covering the basics you’ll need for a cuppa and snacks. Plenty of emergency condiments and toiletries if you need them. I worked from ‘home’ during our stay, the WiFi didn’t let me down. A fantastic find!

This is a really comfortable and peaceful home in a lovely countryside location. Waking up in the morning and sitting outside on the patio is a fabulous way to start the day. A visit from Mao the family cat and Toby the dog was a real bonus and made it feel like home. It is very well placed to reach almost anywhere which is why we picked it. Very easy access to Shrewsbury, Whitchurch, Telford, Wem, Ludlow from here. Lots of walks, local attractions close by. Found a couple of great farm shops. Sasha communicates very well and responds to questions very quickly. Really appreciated them helping me sort out my printer hook up, as I was struggling - they came across with a cable and we got it all going which really helped as needed to print some papers while I was there. I would say the only thing that would make it much better would be to put some wardrobes in the bedrooms. Other than that 5 star all the way.

Excellent accommodation, exactly as described. Two well appointed bedrooms with powerful hot showers. We really appreciated the toys, tractor and box of Lego which kept our grandson busy for quite a few hours. Very welcoming hosts, and two lovely labradors who came to say hello. Only a short drive to Loggerheads Country Park for a great walk with lovely scenery.

Very comfortable stay in a well equipped cottage. Excellent shower and slept well. Good position to visit snowdonia and local beaches. Excellent all year round dog beach which is very sandy Morfa beach Conwy. I would certainly recommend to friends.

Fergus and Kate were great hosts. They met us on arrival, and were ready to help whenever we needed. This is the real airbnb! The house was just what we needed for our group of friends with small children and a dog. The house was as described. It was well equipped, and they had great recycling facilities (which a lot of other hosts neglect). And the surroundings were beautiful! Lots of nice walks. We highly recommend staying with Fergus and Kate.

Perfect stay! Absolutely faultless accommodation. Unique, modern, comfortable and peaceful! The hot tub was the best part! We had the best stay as a young couple and we used this as a base to explore as much of North Wales as we could! (Highly recommend hiring e-bikes from snowdonia bike hire). We can’t wait to return ☺️

What a fantastic, chilled out mini break we had at Jane’s place. Absolutely stunning accommodation with everything that we needed and more. We felt welcome, at home and relaxed from the moment we arrived. Which was exactly what we needed as busy nurses looking forward to a break away with friends. Loved the welcome cake and Prosecco. The beds were so comfy, the welcome robes and slippers and soft fluffy towels and beautiful scented diffusers and candles along with use of thd hot tub , allowed us to have a mini spa break as we took along face masks and foot treatments. It was a lovely space , being able to sit and breakfast together inside or out on the lovely terrace. Jane was so welcoming and we took her up of her offer for a tour of the dairy farm. What a delight. Jane was so relaxed and so passionate about her work it was infectious, we even thought about changing careers.😊 We had a lovely walk to Hawkstone Park golf club for a drink which was just 10 minutes. Fantastic stay! Steven was a terrific host with great recommendations. Steven left the essentials which was very much appreciated with two small children. The Boys loved feeding the chickens and meeting Meg the dog! Would highly recommend staying in this beautiful home!!

I had a wonderful time! The cottage was exactly as described in a peaceful and tranquil location. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen well-equipped, and the bathroom modern and spacious. I really appreciated the cookies and other welcome treats as well. Thank you for the fantastic stay!

Absolutely amazing place and location! Hosts were super friendly and recommend lots of lovely things to do and even took as to a drop of location for a local hike. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful location with lots of amazing places to explore.

We had a wonderful stay celebrating multiple milestone birthdays in our family. Everything was exactly as described and the property, scenary and amenities where exactly what we needed and expected. Would absolutely recommend time and time again. Cordula even swapped out our towels mid-week and kept the hot tub maintained daily. As a bonus our kids loved running the entire length of the property and the parents loved watched them get tired doing it!

Was booked at short notice and absolutely didn’t disappoint. The accommodation was fantastic inside, and just as nice outside. We got a warm welcome from Lucy and then left to our own devices. Highly recommended to anybody wanting a relaxing, private getaway. A big thank you also for the bottle of Prosecco in the fridge and chocolates ect. It’s a nice touch to add to an already lovely place.

We loved our stay at the Barn at the Mill! It’s a lovely house in a gorgeous setting. We had a baby and two toddlers with us so really appreciated the kids’ toys and the spacious garden! Lovely and quiet as well. We’d definitely stay here again!

Beautiful location and proprert, and really lovely hosts. Were all made to feel very welcome. (3 generations-myself, small children and grandparents). On the return journey, setting off again from a service station stop on M5, the 2year old asked if we were "driving back to Tony's farm now?" The response that we were not and we were going home was met with something close to heartbreak and fury 😂 I've told him we will try to visit again and definitely a longer stay next time

Our week in Ystabl at Berwyn Barns was very relaxing. The barn is very comfortable and well appointed. The kitchen had everything we needed and the lounge/diner was spacious. The Double bedrooms again provided loads of space and the singles enough room to work (uni course work) and rest. All the beds were comfortable. The bathrooms provided all we needed and there was always plenty of hot water. The outside areas were excellent - the patio overlooks a small river and the nearby hills and the hot tub was clean and well maintained and enjoyed similar views (nice lying in the tub watching the heavens and the local wildlife - bats). The property owner Liz, is a great communicator and tremendously welcoming - an absolute pleasure to speak to. The local village (Llanarmon DC) has a lovely pub (the Hand) offering good food (thanks Jackie for fitting us in!). If you're prepared to drive, this is a relaxing, idyllic, rural property that offers fantastic value and a lovely location..

What a beautiful holiday home and in a very tranquil environment. We had an absolutely wonderful time relaxing here and enjoying the outdoor hot tub at all times of the day. Our host was incredibly friendly and I highly recommend this home for any group of people who want some peace and quiet.

Was one of if not the nicest places I have ever stayed in. Mandy was amazing and the way we were treated on arrival made us feel like royalty. Mandy had baked us a cake and given us free eggs,honey,butter,bread and milk some of which were homemade from her Farm. We did not miss home one bit as everything you could ever think of needing was including in the hospitality. The Cottage we stopped in was immaculate. When I come up to see my friend in chester I will 100% be looking to book here again! This is the first review I have ever left for anything and Mandy deserves all of the accolades she is already well established for.

Lovely peaceful location in beautiful countryside. Cottage had everything we needed. Plenty of hot water and nice and warm when the weather was cold.

Every year, we book a trip around the Christmas period, and the Longbarn has totally blown all previous trips out of the water! It's a stunning home and, coupled with the beautiful surroundings and cosy furnishings, I'd highly recommend a stay here to anyone.

Got a tad lost getting there but our host Kay was amazing and quickly guided us there, welcomed with a warm friendly smile plus a tour of her property we felt right at home, was there due to work and she made us fell like we wasn't away at all! Really clean, provided us woods to get the log fire going in the cold nights! Plus a pack of mince pies that went down a treat! Amazing stay
