The Sassy Sasquatch

Enjoy a short drive to the Mineola Nature Preserve with paved walking trails, playground and covered pavilion. We are close to several beautiful lakes, historic downtown Mineola and Lindale (home of Miranda Lambert) or just stay home and enjoy front porch sitting to appreciate the stars and trees. We are about a 40 minute drive to Canton (home of the First Monday Trade Days) and about 6 miles from the Amtrak station in Mineola. Tackle Box Cottage is a cozy and quaint 100 year old home. The cottage has been completely renovated, but still retains its original charm. The hardwood floors and ceilings were restored, and I kept as much of the shiplap as possible. TBC has enough parking to accommodate 2 trucks with fishing boats. TBC is located about 7.5 miles west of Winnsboro, TX which is a cultural arts district and a Main Street Town. It is close to several Lakes including Lake Fork. Children 5 and older are welcome.

A Little Countryside Paradise -NEW* King bed

Maybe I'm a little partial, but I really have to pinch myself when I go visit Callie's cottage. Imagine...a beautiful country road, quiet except for the occasional sound of a cow. A cottage tucked into an abundance of trees, wrap around porch, flagstone firepit area, patio lights strung across the yard, antique mantle with gas fire, crystal chandelier, beadboard from an 1800's farmhouse, a tub big enough for two, the lushest bedding, classical music plays, sweets served. Deep sigh.

Our place is close to Local Restaurants (Mexican, BBQ, DQ, Sonic, Subway, Pizza, etc. 5 miles from Lake Fork (Fishing and Boating) 9 Miles to Walmart. City Park and Water play ground close. You’ll love our place because it is in town, on large lot with large covered parking (car, truck, boat, etc.). Quite neighborhood, excellent for walking and biking.. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.

Come and enjoy a slice of heaven. Mother Nature has provided a beautiful scenery full of nature sounds and calls of the wild. You can sit on the screen porch overlooking the lake and feel peace. You can sit by a fire outdoors and feel free and private and safe and hear the crickets and bullfrog. There's nothing but love, peace and joy here. There's room for social distancing and I covid clean and I am vaccinated.
