We recommend an automobile, and have parking for 3 vehicles with 2 garage spaces and room behind for additional parking, including for a boat trailer. It's a short drive to Old Town's shops and restaurants, and about 5 miles south to Bandon Crossings' great golf or 15 minutes north to Bandon Dunes Golf Resort. Bandon, Oregon is a wonderful coastal retreat, with quaint shops and restaurants, a crabbing and fishing dock, and charter fishing. It has miles of lovely beaches, tide pools, wildlife, and pounding surf. There's lots to do: horseback riding on the beach, flying kites, kayaking through the Bandon Marsh, fishing for salmon in Coquille River, exploring the Sand Dune National Recreation Area (about a half hour drive), or serving as a base for day trips, such as south to the Redwoods National Park in northern California. On the Bay across from Charleston Harbor. Bright, clean, and cozy, rustic 1940s era cottage duplex, perfect for frugal travelers. Features kitchenette, comfortable queen bed plus fold-out sofa bed in the living room. There is no view from inside the cottage, but a small patio with fire pit (weather permitting) is available with gorgeous views from outside the cottage. Cottage A is close to Cape Arago Hwy., and receives more road noise than any of our other properties.
