The Oude Smederij is located in an agricultural area on the outskirts of the village of Arum (on the Elfsteden route) and is centrally located between Harlingen (on the Wadden Sea with ferry services to Vlieland and Terschelling), Franeker (Planetarium and Frisian Museum), Bolsward (Broerekerk) and Makkum, located on the IJsselmeer with boulevard and beach.

Je kunt vissen, zwemmen, suppen, zeilen, of gewoon even helemaal niks. Sinds 1980 runt boer Folkert de melkveehouderij waar 110 koeien gemelkt worden. Kom tot rust in de hot tub of neem een duik in de zwemvijver nabij. Ga met de veerboot een dag naar Terschelling of Vlieland. Breng een bezoek aan de hoofdstad Leeuwarden of stap op de fiets en verken de omgeving.

Sustainable, cozy, private guesthouse in Berlikum

Guest accommodation on the first floor of our sustainable home (1880). Private entrance, kitchen, shower and toilet. Located on the continuous waterway. We live in the house (Jasper, Marleen, Thijmen, 12, Rense, 9, and Feline, 7). We renovated the house ourselves. Recently, the entire guest house has been renovated. The guest house has a kitchenette with all the necessary amenities (fridge-freezer, coffee maker, kettle, microwave, stove, etc.)

The former coach house we have converted into a beautiful apartment and is next to our farm with private terrace on the south.
