Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Whakamārama

Hayley has set up a beautiful place to stay. It's quiet, calming and has a homely feel to it. All the little touches (plants/candles etc) are such a nice touch to the space and everything is as is described. We are travelling from Christchurch for some training camps at the lake, and even the boys were looking forward to heading back and relaxing in the "comfy" house after the hard trainings. We were hoping to book The Barn for our 2nd training camp, but it's not available. However, we have re-booked for our 3rd and are looking forward to being back in this beautiful space :)

Mark was an amazing host! This vacation home was spotless and would be great for large and small families. Our family appreciated his thoughtfulness in leaving us muesli squares at check in and then the next morning homemade bread which we enjoyed with our breakfast. His home is close to many attractions in Rotorua that made it super easy to enjoy them and be back to relax quickly. Would highly recommend his home to other travelers headed for a holiday in Rotorua. We loved our stay there.

We had a fabulous stay at Sam’s place! All of the activities we planned were no more than 15 minutes via car. The heating units came in handy during the evening, but the bedding provided ample warmth. The best part were the views; nothing beat the sun rising right in front of the bed!

Josie and Rob's place was beyond perfect for a Birthday weekend getaway of 6 adults. Every amenity you could think of, they had; the house was so comfortable in so many aspects. Not to mention the location, which was close enough to town and walkable to St Kilda cafes, but still in the peaceful countryside of Cambridge. Couldn't fault Josie and Rob too, their communication and helpfulness were unmatched. We are already dreaming of coming back.

We had a wonderful time in this fabulous house that was very well equipped. We felt right at home straight away and would love to come back again.

Yana has been amazing, our team stayed for two weeks at her lovely accommodation, she was very easy going and pleasant to deal with, we will be back in the area soon and are hoping we can stay again. The team were very pleased with the accommodation too, the spa bath was a lovely addition after a hard day's work, they also enjoyed watching the stars and listening to the birds - it was a perfect escape from the busy day on the road. We highly recommend Yana's hideaway to anyone!

This place was amazing! The view alone is spectacular! The whole house revolves around this beautiful view and it is stunning. This is such a beautiful part of NZ. The rolling hills, the mountain, the beautiful cattle pastures, the bike trails and more just add to this awesome area. My family loved this house. There was so much to do, the hot tub, the basketball court, the trampoline, the games, the grill, and more. This house is decorated very well the linen, the beds, the living room are all beautiful. The kitchen is well equipped. The yard is beautiful. Catherine and Megan are excellent hosts. They are very helpful and kind. We truly appreciated them sharing their little slice of paradise with us. Thank you!

Don’t hesitate to book Donna’s place!! We booked a long weekend away to unplug and relax, while also wanting to explore the local area, and it served everything we were looking for on our trip and more. Donna’s place is secluded, peaceful, has stunning views, and was incredibly comfortable. It was still close enough (approx 20min drive) to beautiful beaches and restaurants if you’re looking to go out and about too. The reviews that say that photos can’t do the place justice were spot on. The house was spacious and luxurious with great amenities. Donna was a wonderful host, she was very helpful and left great recommendations on what to do nearby. Can’t recommend this place highly enough!

Lovely, caring hosts, who very kindly left us some breakfast, homemade lemonade and cookies! Great location for a family with kids, with a small, beautiful, self-contained garden a 2min walk to a park with a playground. Supermarket cafe and pub a 10-min walk away.

Superb accommodation in a very special place, location in Waihi Beach could not have been better. What a treat to get to stay here. Thank you Trudi.

Our stay in Waihi Beach was exceptional. We loved the area and our host. The apartment was just as beautiful as shown. You could hear the ocean from the apartment. Thank you Campbell and Julie for wonderful hospitality.

Tastefully-decorated, self-contained unit (19 steps up) in a large home right on the water. Great view. Short walk to restaurants and groceries. Very nice and helpful hosts. The best part for us was they have a tandem kayak and direct access to the estuary. We had wonderful 3-hour kayak rides passing mangroves up the meandering river at the end of the bay.

Upon our arrival, Loretta & Brian kindly provided us with the classic kiwi dip - a tin of reduced cream & Maggi onion soup, a packet of Bluebird potato chips, jet planes and easter eggs for our whānau which went down a treat! The location of this unit is fantastic, just a short stroll to the beach, cafes and restaurants. The unit has everything you need and is well furnished with adequate amenities for your stay. We had a great stay - thank you so much!

Great to deal with the host, just everything was perfect. Flexible check in and check out process with great communication. The place was spotless and beds are very comfortable. One of the best air bnb places that we ever tried. We will definitely come back again.

Really beautiful place to stay, quite close to Hobbiton and Matamata. Nice distance from other houses if you're looking for a more private location. Caren is lovely and really responsive.

A cosy and quirky house with beautiful views of the mountain and lake. Des is a great host and the house has everything you need. My only caution is that the driveway is a bit steep and a touch tricky especially when wet. Would recommend.

Perfect base in Cambridge to explore the region. Real home with a wonderful host and lovely pets. Super comfy bed, nice house and in walking distance to grocery, shops and parks. I would happily come back! Thanks for having me and our beautiful evening talk 🙏🏾

The property is beautifully presented, in a very quiet and picture perfect location. We had a wonderful time, and surprised ourselves with the good rest we all had. The living space and outdoor area are massive, and it is a very perfect location for a weekend away.

This place is absolutely INCREDIBLE! I can't recommend it enough. We booked it for a night for a hens party and the look on guests faces when they arrived was priceless. Such a hidden gem in Katikati, and well worth the drive there if you are considering staying. The house was spectacular and so accommodating to a large group of people, with a lovely courtyard for outdoor activities. The little cottages were also a lovely surprise for guests and so well maintained. Laura's communication was also excellent. I would love to visit again one day. . . and stay for a week!

Carol-Ann was a wonderful host to me and my partner. The property is beautiful, lovely gardens and super cool house. We felt very welcome there and made great friends with her cat. There is also a nice view of the hills from the house, Maungatautari etc. Very close to cambridge, and all its cafes, and Carol-Ann prepared us breakfast every morning with her home made bread. Thank you Carol-Ann for a wonderful stay!
