Vacation rentals with lake access in West Macedonia Region

We had a wonderful stay at Joulia's house. The hosts are kind, warm and friendly. We had an amazing time. The house is just near the center of velvento. We feel lucky to have experienced velvento and the surrounding area which is absolutely beautiful. Highly recommended.

Amazing accommodation on an excellent location- true gem it has it all if you search for a genuine experience in a remote location that has so much to see nearby. Panagiotis was a great host- super helpful and always responsive and proactive to suggest us places to go. I would strongly recommend this place to anyone.

The house is in a quiet area of Kastoria but only 10 mins drive from main attractions. The house itself is very spacious, it has everything you need and was clean. It also has a lovely yard/garden. Nick recommended some local restaurants/tavernas where he had some great food :)

Our stay at Evi's place was really impeccable! The house was super clean, the spaces and linens smelled clean, and the house was fully equipped, and there was everything for breakfast. The space comfortably accommodates 4 people and is very close to the center, with comfortable and easy parking! As a host, Evi was amazing! Kind and very helpful! We recommend it for every guest!

The accommodation is a modern and beautiful ground floor space right in front of the wonderful lake of Kastoria. New, clean and functional, it had everything I needed, thoughtful to detail. Although it has a small window on the street, so I had it closed all the time, it has thoughtful lighting and is pleasant. As soon as you exit is the lake and on the right starts a little further down the shops and cafes/restaurants. Great location, no uphills, accessible for people with reduced mobility, maybe they could add a hand rail to the entrance; the two steps are a bit high for someone who may have a difficulty. The host, very friendly and helpful, made me feel at home. Diamanti, thank you so much for a great stay.

You're all great. Amazing space suitable for a quiet room with a view from the huge balcony that calms you down. The owner and his father are very helpful. I highly recommend it and look forward to my next visit to the city.

What a fantastic place to stay at. Right on the lakefront, with an incredible view of the town and lake. Cafes and restaurants were literally across the road. The accommodation was really nice and clean. Had all the amenities. Strongly recommend to anyone visiting Kastoria!

We were very satisfied with our stay. The house was just like in the photos and was spotless and tidy. We had a flexible check-in as we had to arrive earlier than check in and Mr. MICHALIS served us. The house is very well located, quiet neighborhood with ample space for parking. Very close there is a supermarket, bakery, etc. for what is needed. The center is very close by car. Very good value for this house and the owner helped us with everything we needed. Highly recommend! Thanks for hosting!

Leonidas’s apt was all that he said it would be including a spectacular view of the lake and the mountains from his spacious balcony.! he was available for any and all inquiries we had and most helpful in navigating a very early morning taxi to the airport for us..Since he lives downstairs, he was also very accessible. Mrs. Maria and her husband are amazing. Although we only stayed at their place two nights we understood a lot. Polite , always available, and helpful hosted us in their wonderful guesthouse, and we haven't had a complaint. The house will be our priority in future excursions to their places! I recommend booking the “Hangi” space offered as an extra amenity if you are company.

Summary: Superb experience! Maria's place is wonderful, situated in the centre of Agios Germanos, a lovely mountain village nestled above the Prespa Lakes. The property is located next to a little stream and one minute walk to the local Taverna. Maria and Thanos are perfect hosts, we couldn't have been made to feel more welcome. Once you walk through the gate into their courtyard, you find yourself in a quiet little oasis with a panoramic view on the surrounding mountains. The accommodation was lovely, a main apartment split onto two levels, spotlessly clean with everything you need plus some welcome gifts. Other breakout spaces on the property were also available to use, e.g. an outdoor kitchen and dining area and lounge room supplied with drinks. We had breakfast on the lawn every day and Maria makes delicious local savoury pies and cakes. They also have an organic vegetable garden behind the main property where they grow just about anything you can think of. We were invited to fill a basket with aubergine, spring onion, courgettes, beans, potatoes, beetroot, cucumber, tomatoes ... The Prespa Lakes area is a paradise for nature lovers. Bird watching, hiking, boat tours on the Great Prespa Lake, or just a picnic next to one of the little streams. All this in a spectacular landscape of a tranquility that has become so rare in our days... And the nights are fresh, even in the hot Greek summer, so good sleep is guaranteed! If you want to reset and reconnect with nature, this is the place to be.

We had a great time staying at Maria's place! The house was spacious in a great location, very clean and equipped with everything we needed. Maria was very hospitable and available whenever needed.

The house was a traditional almost 100 years old, putting you into the mood of the village and the surroundings. It was clean with a beautiful view of the Lake.

The entire family including the cousin came to greet us. They brought cake and beer and told us where to go for history. The house was large and had everything you would need to cook in . Dimitreos was funny and responsive to our needs. The only thing we found we didn’t like was the only restaurant in town. A great place to have a beer but the food was terrible. Don’t go there if you can avoid it. The lake was great to swim in and quite warm, well for Seattle people at least. Hope to return here soon
