Mountain Momma Homestead Cottage

A quaint studio guest house located in one of the many hollers of West Virginia. Less than 1 mile from I64, the house is roughly 300 sq. feet, centrally located between Charleston, New River Gorge, and Huntington. This guest house is equip with an outdoor space that includes a firepit and grill. It is located close to the main living quarters, but it is disconnected. Beautiful home in a very nice, quiet neighborhood. Close to downtown Ashland (3 miles) and I-64 (5 miles). This is a full size newly remodeled basement with it's own outside entrance. Great host and great setting. Access to the beautiful back yard, kids gym, gazebo, firepit, grill and covered patio. The basement has large windows in the bedrooms and queen beds. Located 8 minutes from King’s Daughters Hospital and 30 minutes from Huntington, WV hospitals. Long term travel workers welcome.

The Cabin is a fully furnished , 3 bedroom home on 13 acres, a pond 2 fire-pits, wildlife. The house has a gas fireplace, and a fully stocked kitchen, also we provide a gas grill outside on the wrap around porch. The porch has a swing and plenty of seating. A wash room with full size washer and dryer. The pond has a dock and is fully stocked. A king master suite with a shower ,bath tub. A bunk room w/ 4 long bunks. Hello, Our guest house is very private, quiet, cozy, secure and exceptionally clean. A great couples retreat with 2+miles of hiking trails and a vast space for outdoor activities and wildlife viewing. The beds are comfortable and the heat and air conditioning are great. We have all the amenities...all linens are furnished. There is a washer, dryer, iron and hair dryer and detergent. We are nestled on over 100 acres of land and are 1000 feet from the nearest highway.

Our stay at The Red Dog Cottage was nothing short of awesome. The pictures are just an appetizer to being there ! In person, the Cottage and property are beautiful , functional and peaceful. It had everything we wanted and then some ! It was our Home Base for 5 days of adventure on the Hatfield McCoy Trail System . Every morning I looked forward to sitting on the on side porch with my hot cup of coffee and listen to the sounds of the adjacent creek. After a day on the trails , the outdoor shower was a welcome treat . Location is perfect, close to the trailhead and just a short drive into town for groceries , shopping or restaurants. Plenty of room to park , as we have a crew cab truck with a 20 foot trailer. Parking is nice and flat with an entrance and exit, which made parking a breeze ! Shawn and Tonya are great hosts and made us feel right at at home ! Looking forward to a return trip to the Red Dog Cottage !

HCC Cardinal Cabin Near Hatfield McCoy Ivy Trails

Off the beaten path, about 25-35 minutes outside of Charleston, which was fine with me. The cabin was small but didn't feel cramped the way it is laid out and decorated. Comfortable bed on the main level. I didn't use the bed, possibly an air mattress in the loft. No way I could have at 6'2 - probably best for kids, but safe with the rails. Decent size shower for my size, no width issues. My stay was after some snow so I didn't get to venture back to the stream that runs behind. The wall unit struggled a bit on the first night when the temps were at or near 0. However, once I looked at an online manual for it, I changed the fan speed from auto to manual on the remote which took care of it. Generally a cozy spot, well worth it. And Vincent is in the process of making a twin cabin for it next door. No issues!

Perfect Airbnb. My wife accidentally got locked out the cabin while I was at work and Lorrie came to let her back in. She was so sweet. My wife even said she offered to run by the store and get some groceries for us! These are good, down-to-earth people! Will definitely be staying here again when we come back!

What an adventure! Talk about service! Elizabeth & her driver dropped me off at night & picked me up in the morning. This is off grid! Primitive, no electricity or water, there was heat & camping cook stove if you needed it. And I was comfortable in the pouring rain all night & there was a beautiful trickling creek below. It was magical if you are into the outdoors & nature & wilderness! I will be back! Thank you Elizabeth!
