Close to other popular beaches such as Robe and Beachport. Southend is adjacent to the Canunda National Park for 4WD enthusiasts. Southend is perfect for fishing, sailing, swimming or just lazing on the beach. A surf beach is situated between Southend and Beachport. Southend has a small shop that is licensed and sells basic groceries. It has a takeaway fish and chip shop open weekends (6 days during summer).There is a local community club open weekends (open for meals in summer).Restaurants and other shopping is available in Beachport and Millicent, both a short drive away. We would like to stress this property is our own beach house. It is not resort standard accommodation. There isn't any air conditioning only fans and basic heating. Our pricing reflects this. It should be viewed as a comfortable base for exploring the area and other activities : fishing, boating, surfing and 4 wheel driving.

We were in town for the Generation in Jazz festival and Natasha’s place was exactly what we needed after a long day. A clean unit and a cozy bed to sleep. The only thing I felt was missing was a coffee Pod machine (Nespresso). Thank you Natasha for the wonderful honey. It was delicious.

Didnt want to leave. From the moment we arrived it felt like home. While the place wasnt perfect, the things that generally matter were. Every creature comfort of home was there. The beach is a short stroll or even shorter drive. The neighbours and general community are friendly. The area is quiet and the stars are very bright. Rooms are all bigger than expected. Biggest negative was the pump which was very loud in the bedroom with the triple bunk bed, but we all slept through it running no problems.

An arranged collection of breakfast items on a kitchen countertop includes coffee, corn thins, organic tea, and milk products. Gluten-free bread and rolled oats are present, along with a jar of culinary spice. The items are displayed to appear accessible for meal preparation.

Its was a cozy little stay and the host Barbara stayed late for us and we are highly thankful to them. The cerelas and basic items helped us alot as the town was close at night. Had a peaceful sleep and we were ready for next leg of our journey.

This place is centrally located and is perfect for any traveller/family that wish to have a home away from home. It was perfect for me to visit my family and cook meals. I have stayed here previously with the entire family and we were well accommodated. Shopping and the main street are walking distance. I would be happy to return for any further visits to Mount Gambier.

We were pleased and felt welcome the moment we entered. A fresh inviting place to stay with all we needed to feel comfortable. Happy to recommend and will come stay again when we can! We mistakenly tried to get key using code at the back door lock… at a glance thought it was the entrance. Caroline was quick to respond and clarify when we asked for assistance. We hadn’t seen the keybox right at the front door, oops! :) Thanks again for everything. We loved our stay!
