Guests rooms are situated on the 2nd and 3rd floors. The 1st Floor is private. The guests Breakfast room and salon are shared, and situated on the ground floor. In summer breakfast on the terrasse is possible. The gym room is in the basement. Ironing is possible in the laundry room, near the gym, upon request. The house was built in 1909, and is located in the upper Saint-Gilles district. This is the Art Nouveau and Art Deco area, also known for its many art studios and exhibition spaces. Plenty of shops, restaurants, bars and amenities are close by. PUBLIC TRANSPORT The public transports for Brussels region are called STIB (or MIVB in flemish) and include Metro, Tram and Bus. SNCB is the national train operator Most Metro/Tram stations have only tickets vending/cards loading machines. It is only in main hub stations that tickets and cards can be purchased from the public counter. Tram, metro and bus are integrated with transfers allowed. Each ticket or journey on a multiple journey card is valid one hour, irrespective of transfers. Brussels residents use a personalised MOBIB card. Visitors use an anonymous MOBIB card, which can be loaded with 1, 5 or 10 journeys. It can be used by several persons, provided it is validated for each person and for each trip. On board a tram or bus, you can only purchase single journey tickets, but this is a more expensive option. ARRIVING FROM BRUSSELS MIDI TRAIN STATION Taxi from Bruxelles Midi (Brussels Zuid) train station: +/- 12€. You can also take the underground tram 3 or 4 or 51 respectively direction Winston Churchill or Stalle or Van Halen , and hop off at station Horta. Then walk uphill along the Chaussée de Waterloo and avenue Ducpétiaux is the 4th street on your right. The house is situated on the left side. ARRIVING FROM BRUSSELS AIRPORT (ZAVENTEM) Taxi from Brussels National airport: +/- 50€. From the airport, it is faster and often cheaper to take the train to Brussels-Midi. From Bruxelles-Midi, you can take a taxi for +/- 12€. Alternatively, you can also take the underground tram 3 or 4 or 51 respectively. See above for details. TO GO TO BRUSSELS CENTER Via MIDI station You can either take tram 3 or 4 at HORTA direction Esplanade or Gare du Nord, and step off at BEURS/Bourse (eg to go to Grand Place). Laurent was responsive and helpful, we were able to check in early. Good location, close to transportation and a couple of restaurants and mini markets . Just an advise for if your priority is privacy, this is not the right Airbnb for you, Laurent lives above and you don’t have a private entrance also the noise coming from train road nearby was annoying.

Pascale and her husband were amazing hosts! My friend and I had troubles with public transport, and Pascale was kind enough to fetch us from the bus stop, as this way we didn't have to walk in the dark. We had cake and a glass of wine with both Pascale and her husband. It was a nice ending to our evening. We felt very welcomed from the beginning. Pascale put on a nice breakfast display the following morning with lots of different options. Such kindness and hospitality was shown throughout. I would highly recommend this Airbnb. We stayed with Alain & Magali on our bike trip for one night. Communication and coordination in advance was great and fast. We had a very nice evening in the garden. Very idyllic and beautifully quiet. Drinks could be taken from the refrigerator in the dining room for a small fee. We were allowed to store our wheels in the garden. The room was super clean. In the morning, there was a very delicious and extensive breakfast. Alain and Magali were very nice and made sure we had everything we needed.

Double and cross your money. Very nice host, nice reception. Room is exactly as described, even the low ceiling was mentioned in description. This was also not disturbing. Pool and Spa were spotless and very modern, just here I would come back. Room was incredibly nice and cozy, bathroom really beautiful! Spacious bath and plenty of storage space. TV was ideal, as was the tea and coffee machine. Long story short: definitely worth your money if you're looking for a quiet and cozy weekend away! Ps** delicious breakfast :)

Very friendly welcome by Litsa et her husband. Their home is in a quiet, residential neighborhood with lots of greenery. The room is sufficiently spacious with an adjoining bathroom with a bath and shower. The restroom is in the hallway and was only used by us as guests during the stay. We stayed 4 nights and also took the breakfast (generously), which they serve in their living room. They do everything they can to make guests happy (maybe a little too much, but that's personal).

A spacious red brick building is surrounded by lush greenery, lending a rustic charm. Windows line the front, allowing plenty of natural light. An open gravel area is visible in the foreground, providing parking space, while trees and grass frame the property in the background.
