Beachfront vacation rentals in Waterford

This house is a gem! I came to stay a week in off season with my dog, Rollo. The location is breathtaking, right on the Long Island Sound. We had a great time exploring the beach, looking for all the biodiversity in the birds and sea creatures, watching the boats, and this place is relatively close to an airport so watching the planes land and take off was awsome as well. We came for privacy, and I expected the beach to be a little more private than it was due to my dog's reactivity. But the neighbors did not seem to have issues with us, and once you are close to the water, especially in low tide, the beach is pretty open for all the locals. Walking around, the locals all waved and said hello. Not too many restaurants close by, but the Lobster Shack down the road had good food! Would stay again! The deck alone was worth it!

It was easy to find, plenty of parking, nice backyard space, the house was as described and pictured. We felt right at home!

We had a great stay at this cottage- it was a perfect size for our family and was extremely clean, warm and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the quick walk to the beach, and proximity to town. Hosts were very friendly and responsive but never intrusive. Would highly recommend.

Loved the house. Amazing little community with a gorgeous beach just a short walk away. Thoughtfully stocked with so many supplies, which was unexpected. Lots of seating. My partner and I agreed the beds were possibly the most comfortable we’ve slept on, ha! Would definitely stay here again.

Barbara’s place reminded me of the way airbnbs used to be. It felt like home-away-from-home. The accommodations were high quality and clean, and there were even some tasty snacks! We loved our stay. Everything was as pictured. Stony Creek was wonderful, and we look forward to visiting again next year!

This place is sparkling clean and has everything you’d need. Beds were super comfortable, the kitchen was very well-equipped, and the living space was quite cozy. Lovely outdoor seating areas. And that hot tub! Strong jets, so relaxing! The house is so convenient to visit mystic seaport attractions, and there’s a sweet little bakery with an awesome hot beverage selection just around the corner (nana’s), an easy walk. Nice to get up and grab a country loaf or rosemary foccacia. There’s also a seafood and ice cream shack right there, plus a nice little market a very easy walk in the other direction. You may notice on the map that there’s a train track close by, but I never heard a train at night. Very quiet street. Plus they’ve thoughtfully provided white noise machines in the bedrooms. This was our second time at Peter’s place, and we had an enjoyable stay. Our destinations were short drives and easy to find. The place was immaculate, and the amenities offered met more than our needs. My wife and I along with our dog would love to stay again when we are back in the area.

An amazing stay overall. It was comfortable for 6 adults. Spencer was extremely helpful throughout our stay — I had lots of questions and Spencer was quickly responsive. The house itself is beautiful and has that eastern Long Island charm. The backyard had lots of space and is well maintained alongside the pool. We also enjoyed a sunset evening at the beach which is just a few steps away. It was a wonderful weekend and I am certainly looking forward to staying here in the future!

Mia’s place is excellent. Exactly what the listing describes and more — Mia is a great host and super attentive despite us being a last minute booking, she even helped us through a tough time late in the day when I thought my daughter’s stuffie had been picked up by the maid service. Above and beyond!

Our group of 6 has a great time at the home! The backyard is beautiful and has plenty of seating. We didn’t get to enjoy the pool because it was a bit chilly for May, but would be GREAT in the summer! Would definitely return!

Wonderful, spacious home on a gorgeous property. We loved the easy access to the private beach and close proximity to Greenport town. The house felt so homey from the boxes of records and well appointed kitchen to the toys and books for kids. The whole family had a great time!

Had an amazing stay in Greenport. The condo was exactly as listed, extremely clean and has a ton of amenities. Tom communicated from when the reservation was booked until the end, he was readily available, answered quickly and gave tons of informations. The location is ideal with the private beach and pool and a quick 5 minute drive into town. The condo offers a great little kitchen, a wonderful balcony with a water view and an unbeatable sunset and all the amenities you need for your stay. Pool towels are provided, plenty of bathroom towels, there’s a coffee machine, 3 tvs, a variety of dishware and there’s coin operated laundry in the basement. The staff that works the grounds and property are also super friendly. The town of Greenport and other surrounding towns are all close, you have endless options for vineyards in close vicinity and there’s tons of amazing restaurants within a 5-15 minute car ride. We had a wonderful time. The weather was perfect. The view of the water was everything and was accessible from nearly every room. The home was modern and easily accommodated our large group. Yet it was cozy and beautifully appointed with all the amenities you would ever want. It is ideal for children with every toy imaginable. There was a highchair and a pack and play for our toddler and child appropriate dishes. The kitchen was fully equipped and had 2 sinks, 2 dishwashers and 3 tables for dining. The beautiful pool and hot tub were in constant use. Mary is very thoughtful and assembled a ringed binder with important contacts and suggestions for dining, shopping and entertainment. Although there was no beach on the property there are nearby beaches. The towns of Guilford and (nearby) Madison are charming and well worth visiting. Mary was very accommodating and responded promptly to several inquiries.

Pamela was wonderful to work with and always willing to answer all our questions and handle concerns. The size of the unit was perfect and the location wonderful. We would certainly consider renting again

My family and I stayed at Jason's house for four days for my graduation, and it's no exaggeration to say that it was the best B&B stay we've ever had! The views throughout the house are just beautiful, and the huge floor-to-ceiling windows give you a perfect view of the lake from the moment you open the door to your room. The deck set up, and the lake amenities make this house a perfect vacation spot. The amenities were great! The grill, dishwasher, and washer were all there, and the hot tub, kayaks, and life jackets made it perfect for our lake activities. I also personally loved the special hand sanitizers in the house, they seemed to be a custom brand and smelled great! Overall, this is a very beautiful, modern house that you won't regret staying in!

Had an excellent stay at Eileen’s place. The house was extremely clean and perfect size for a couple. Beautiful view and surroundings. Only wish I had more time to explore the area. Would definitely stay here again if I return.

This is a beautiful private spot. It was so peaceful and quiet. The cottage was very clean, bright with a very soothing color scheme. Lauren was very responsive to any questions we had.

Joe made an extra effort telling us home would be available earlier than quoted check in time. Very much appreciate this flexibility. Great neighborhood, wonderful walk to the beach. Was exactly what we needed as a home base for three days of bike rides. Wonderful area.

Sandra’s place was great for our family get together, ages ranging from 1 to 80. Lots of living space and open. Great front porch and backyard is beautiful., perfect for sitting out by the fire pit at night. The table easily accommodates up to 12. No worries running out of dishes or glassware. The house is tastefully decorated, comfortable. The water view is a plus and the area is very walkable with proximity to beaches. Highly recommended!

Beautiful stay in Groton! Well appointed house, lots of room for all, and gorgeous views on the waterfront. Great location and close proximity to Esker Beach & Restaurant, 10 minute drive to Mystic which was great for our 3 families over MDW
