13 bed, 2 bath, house North of Bush, Louisiana

Nice secluded location. Very reasonably priced and spacious. The host, Dustin, was very nice unto my family and me. He was also very accommodating to us. What Dustin did for my family while we were there has no words. Thanks can never be enough. If you choose Dustin’s house then know that you have an excellent host and you chose a good place to stay.
The cabin, designed in a rustic style, features a wooden exterior with a spacious upper deck. Steps lead to the entrance, surrounded by trees and a large lawn area. Outdoor seating is available beneath the deck, providing an inviting space to enjoy the landscape.

Rustic and Spacious Log Cabin on Pearl River

MeghanRating, 5 stars3 months ago
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We stayed here while our floors were being redone after a flood, and it truly felt like a home away from home. The house was comfortable, well-equipped, and perfectly located right on the river, making for a peaceful and relaxing stay. One of the biggest perks was that our pets were welcome, which made all the difference for us. The hosts were accommodating and made sure everything was just right. We had no issues at all and would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a cozy, pet-friendly getaway. Elaine made our unfortunate and stressful life event into a really lovely retreat for myself and my family!

I along with all of the other guest were very pleased. We had more than everything we needed for our entire stay. I would definitely stay here again. I have never seen so many amenities in one place including first aid products, umbrellas in case it rained, games, books and I could go on.

The place was just as described. Spacious and plenty of beds. Hosts were responsive and left a sweet gift basket. It’s close to The Willows Venue so it was perfect for all the groomsmen to stay. Although it’s an older and rustic home it’s clean. We would stay again

we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the treehouse! the kids in particular had a wonderful time. the only thing I wish I had known before arriving was that the beds for the kids were in a separated room from our bed. the living space / kitchen is pretty small, this particular cabin not having an oven , and we may consider getting a different cabin next time. the amenities are just wonderful for kids and our dog had a great time too! we definitely plan to be back!

Very cute and quaint tiny home. The rules were a little overwhelming, but nothing out of the ordinary for an AirBnB. Sheila was kind enough to allow us to get ready for our wedding here and we so appreciated that!

Katherine was always available and answered all our questions quickly. The location was private yet still close enough to grab a few things from the local Walmart. Would definitely recommend.

A Shore Bet (Houseboat)

SteveRating, 5 stars3 months ago
David’s place is a little hidden slice of heaven. Amazing host, we had a perfect much-needed weekend getaway and highly highly recommend it! We stayed on the houseboat and we felt like we were young again, on an adventure. Our 13 year old son kept thanking us for spending the weekend there. So much to do - we were never bored. The deck on top of the boat was so relaxing. Fishing from the dock, taking the jon boat and canoe out on the pond, feeding the catfish, tetherball, volleyball, playing horseshoes, basketball, and of course, sitting around the fire roasting marshmallows and hotdogs. We forgot to bring marshmallows and David surprised us with a bag. Such a gracious friendly host with some pretty awesome stories to share. What a great place. We had such an amazing weekend, and so close (yet far enough away) from New Orleans. Can’t recommend it enough, and we’ll absolutely be back. 🤩❤️

Great Escape on the River

LeeRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Had a wonderful long weekend at Jeanne's cottage. Great view with a great beach just off the back porch. The cabin has plenty of seating and doesn't feel cramped. Window unit A/Cs in each room, so each person can set the temperature how they prefer. The only thing that was a little bit of a surprise is there are are a handful of homes within the same area of land, so you don't have total privacy, but that wasn't a big deal for us. Also, one of the pics shows people on tubes and we were hoping to watch people tubing by the cabin, but that didn't happen. I think the pic was of a family playing in the river and using the tubes provided at the cabin (which was GREAT fun, the river felt fantastic!). Overall, a great place and well worth the price.

Staying at David's property is a fantastic choice for anyone looking to relax and enjoy time with family. Traveling from Brandon, Florida, to Bogalusa, Louisiana, is a big change, but it’s definitely worth it. The property is very family-friendly, with something for everyone—from toddlers to young adults—and plenty of room for adults to unwind, socialize, or even get some work done. I highly recommend David's place; both the staff and other guests are friendly, respectful, and helpful.
