Jewel Vinsota Artist's Guesthouse

AnastasiaRating, 5 stars1 day ago
My family had an idyllic time here. Perfect home base for hiking and swimming at the state parks in the area. Good to know for families since it’s hard to tell in photos: - This is essentially a studio apartment, meaning there aren’t full walls that separate the bedroom from the living space so bring a white noise machine - there is wonderful natural light in the apartment but some are sky lights that will be impossible to cover for naptime. That being said, we had a wonderful time with our 4mo old and 4 year old. They have hummingbirds and birds of all colors and lots of instruments, games, and art to experiment with. If your kids are between crawling age to 3 yrs old, all the things in the apartment may stress you out, but it was perfect for a curious 4 year old. We walked the art hike in the backyard at least once a day, which our dog loved, and Sarah even set us up with their firepit to make s’mores. Magical! Truly a trip to remember! We hope to visit again!
The cabin is set amidst lush greenery, featuring a wooden exterior and a welcoming front porch with a railing. Flower pots line the porch, and steps lead to the entrance. A gravel pathway and trees surround the cabin, enhancing the secluded atmosphere.

Terrapin Cabin. A sunny, quiet cabin in the woods.

JaclynRating, 5 stars4 months ago
We had an amazing stay here, especially considering we got snowed in on Saturday and still had a great time! The area is beautiful, the neighborhood trail was fun to explore, and the history of Berkley Springs is fascinating. Jeff was kind and friendly, offered great recommendations, and very responsive to questions. The house was very clean and we were able to make use of the kitchen and pizza oven. Perfect little getaway spot!
A peaceful view of the Potomac River is framed by trees and greenery. A small staircase leads down to a wooden dock, adorned with planters filled with flowers. A motorboat can be seen gliding across the water, surrounded by lush hills in the background.

Riverkeeper Inn

We enjoyed William’s hospitality. The place was located in a beautiful secluded spot by the Potomac river. So relaxing watching the sun come out behind the mountain and reflecting on the river in the morning, and birds singing. Dogs had a blast too! In case the info is useful, the wifi connection was perfect for working remotely. Lots of beautiful hikes in the area. Thank you

City Dog Farm

KimberlyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
City dog farm was a beautiful farm conveniently located close to everything. Karen and her husband were the absolute best hosts. The place was very clean, spacious, and comfortable. Beautiful surroundings of nature, a donkey and horses near by, along with quiet and tranquility so you can relax while you get away. Will definitely stay here again.

The Shady Bear Cabin

CassidyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This is a beautiful, private place with amazing nature. We saw deer and hummingbirds, and they were pretty close to us. This place has a wonderful cat (Mr. Moo) who will give you much love! It is a bummer that we didn’t see dogs, but we got to see the chickens and got eggs from them! Amazing place! Although we may not hear beautiful sounds like others mentioned, we felt the peace and mindless presence. We enjoyed our time, and it was a perfect place for our short retreat.

Robin was a wonderful host and her place was perfect for a weekend getaway from Baltimore. We ran out of dish soap and she quickly delivered some to our door (left it outside). I also forgot my headphones upon leaving and she kindly set them aside for me to retrieve when I had realized. Very thoughtful host and space 🙏

River Chase Cottage

MarlissRating, 5 stars4 days ago
We very much enjoyed staying in Joe and Shelby’s cabin while we vacationed in the Shepherdstown/Harper’s Ferry area. Located about equidistance by car between the two towns, it was nicely representative of the Appalachian Mountains. There’s a small pond out back where the bullfrogs croak, raccoons forage and deer graze; and the grass path takes you down to the Potomac River. We had air conditioning, cable TV and internet access. If we vacation in that area again, we would definitely stay there again!!

River View East - Full Bed

PaulRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We booked this room with the intention of staying for one night in Harper's Ferry and exploring the area. The parking and check-in process was a little confusing, but Karan was able to clear things up over the phone and in-person. We were delighted to receive a complimentary upgrade to the Appalachian Room, which came with its own in-suite bathroom. The inn is a historic building, which comes with its own quirks and charm — you will hear your neighbors and the passing trains, but the mandatory quiet hours help to mitigate this. All things considered, the location was perfect, the room was cozy, and the staff was friendly. We will be returning to see the fall foliage!
A curved walkway is seen alongside a serene river, with lush greenery lining both banks. In the background, rocky cliffs rise steeply, creating a natural barrier. The clear blue sky reflects on the calm water, enhancing the tranquil setting.

I have returned to Harper’s Ferry 5 times and each time is as magnificent as the next. The Inn seems to be the heartbeat of the town and has unique style and grace. Karen is a perfect inn keeper, as her soft voice and smile as she talks makes anyone feel welcome & comfortable. If you enjoy small town life, or want to experience it, this is definitely the place!

Town's Inn is a quaint, down-to-Earth Inn with tons of historic charm and amenities. Walking distance to every shop in town. The shared kitchen was an awesome surprise! Go in and grab a cup of coffee, say hello to your fellow travelers, and prepare a couple eggs (or whole pre-made meals!). Be sure to spend time in the patio area- it backs up to a rock face covered in vines that is so calming.

Room In Central Historic Downtown - Mountain View

Beautiful old home repurposed into a b&b. There is a full service kitchen available free to use for all guests and mini fridge in the room with wide variety of ingredients available for purchase. the front porch gives a stunning view of the mountains Of note but did not negatively impact my stay: due to historic nature, this is Not an accessible house, do not book if you have mobility concerns there is a significant amount of noise through the house due to historic nature, stay was peaceful and no one was rambunctious but I could hear conversation from my room the middle floor acts as a public access grocery/supply stop for local hikers. this gives the place a cluttered and homey feel All together, I would absolutely stay here again. Location and vibes were very community-focused
