For the lover of peace and space. In the middle of the beautiful scenic landscape of the Westerkwartier is our farmhouse. We rent out the old chicken shed as a Bed and Breakfast. In the area you can feel free to go hiking or cycling. Directly at a junction route. Public transport and a supermarket are within cycling/walking distance. Drachten and Groningen are 15-25 minutes away by car. Leeuwarden is about 45 minutes drive. Breakfast package possible, preferably passed on before arrival.

Villa Selva is situated on our 1,5ha property on the edge of Loppersum. In this cosy cottage (the 'villa' of its name is slightly overstated) you'll find a living-/dining room, a small kitchen and bathroom with shower. There is one bedroom with one double and one single bed and the open attic has a second double bed. The cottage has small private terrace and garden facing south. On clear nights millions of stars twinkle overhead and the moonshine is so bright, you can read a book in it.

Here in quiet Frisian Rohel you can really be outside, feel the wind in your hair and the sun on your skin. Cycling and hiking along the meadows and (cold) swimming in the Tjeukemeer. Drink a glass of wine on the terrace on the water, with the view of infinity, under the old fruit trees in the garden. Apart from the sounds of birds, the rustling of the wind and in the distance a tractor, you don't hear anything at all here. The sunsets can be amazingly beautiful here.

Overall, we enjoyed it very much. The surroundings are very quiet and you can relax perfectly. It takes some time for the hot tub to be really hot, but it's worth the wait. 😊 Nothing was missing in the apartment. The only thing that wasn't perfect was the bed as it was pretty saggy. Of course, it is still convenient for a weekend. Really recommend!!!

We stayed as a family of five adults and a five-month-old baby for a week in the old painter's house of Christin and Willi. We had a very nice time in the house and were able to enjoy the quiet garden right on the water in good weather, especially in the first days, and watch the cows grazing on the other side of the water. But even with the worse weather in the second half of the week, we had it very cozy in the house in the spacious living room with fireplace. The location is wonderfully quiet to relax or take walks along the dike. Christin and Willi even provided us with a travel cot for our baby. The communication with the two went great, they were always helpful and with good tips (e.g. the trip to Groningen was very worthwhile). Everything in the house was also very clean and well maintained. All in all, the perfect place to stay for a family getaway. We will be happy to come back!

The apartment is very nicely located on the first floor of a house where there are other apartments. The house is situated in a cul-de-sac, therefore also very quiet. The rooms are spacious, four people will find enough space here. Large kitchen with basic equipment and large dining table. Large sunny terrace where you can sit very nicely. Parking right outside the door. Only small drawback: Next to the house is a horse paddock, so there are many flies. Although there are fly screens, of course, the occasional fly still gets lost in the apartment.

We stayed in a lovely old caravan from 1949 with special carvings and engraved windows. There was a good wood-burning stove and ample wood to burn. We enjoyed Kirsten's cottage. We had booked the cottage for our Honeymoon, and it is really a romantic place. It is wonderfully quiet, you can enjoy the birds and sounds of the forest. The house is full of comforts and nicely decorated. The conservatory was very cozy, with the fireplace, really a nice place. We made good use of the spa: sauna, outdoor shower and hot tub. Floating and drinking in the hot tub was a favorite. And the bed slept really wonderfully, which is nice! Norg is in a beautiful area. Easily accessible with the bicycles that you can use at the cottage. The contact with Kirsten went very well, she responds immediately when you have a question. She had arranged a sweet welcome package for us. We enjoyed it and would love to come back.
