This was a great stay! Lovely home perfect for a family with a beautiful backyard taking advantage of the river. The street is quiet and all attractions are close by
A small pig with a striped brown and orange coat is seen near a black and white sheep. Both animals are on dry grass, with a fenced area visible in the background. The animals appear to be close together, creating a sense of companionship.

Hico Holiday Den

This Airbnb exceeded my expectations! They have gone above and beyond to make a nice space for guests. The pictures don’t do it justice actually. I booked based off of other reviews. They had snacks and all kids of toiletries in the bathroom in case you forget anything, and other special touches which I think is very thoughtful of the hosts. We ate breakfast outside with the cute, little, friendly farm animals. We were in town for a wedding, and Jamel’s Airbnb was the perfect place for us to stay. I also consider myself to have high standards when it comes to places I stay, and I thought this was a great place for us and would stay again if I was in the area! 🙂

Cabin on Chalk Mountain-Near Glen Rose Attractions

JuanRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We loved our stay at this cabin. It's out in a peaceful secluded area (just what we were looking for to get away from the city for a few days) but only about 10-20 minutes from Dinosaur Valley, Fossil Rim and all the other activities, stores and attractions at Glen Rose. I liked that they had a fenced in backyard area where we could let our pups explore, not very common in any other cabins I've stayed at. We also enjoyed going outside during the early morning and evening and seeing all the rabbits, deer, and all types of birds roaming around the property. We didn't have any issues but the host was very proactive with the check-in information and reaching out in case we had any issues or questions which I liked. If/when we come back to Glen Rose I would stay here again!
A charming guesthouse is framed by lush greenery, with a sloped roof and inviting front porch. Two chairs are positioned on the porch, and a small table adds to the outdoor seating area. A wooden fence surrounds the property, enhancing the tranquil setting.

Countryside Guesthouse

We had booked a rental on August 18th to another cabin in the area for 8/31/24 - 9/4/24 and was extremely looking forward to leaving for our get away. The day before we were to leave, we get a call from airbnb to cancel due to HVAC being faulty. Due to holiday weekend, wasn't counting on being able to find something available this late, however, after deep prayer, God led us to Carolyn's place & this was exactly where God meant us to be. It was sooo peaceful, quiet & we couldn't have asked for better accomodations. The cabin was fully furnished with just about everything we needed. We had to make a run to Walmart to pick up some wash cloths as we only found towels for bathing/showering. We picked up some hand soap & luckily we brought dish cloths & t-towles for the kitchen to use since we couldn't find any there. It had a dish washer, but for just 2 of us, we hand washed all our dishes. Had complete privacy, so unfortunately, we didn't have the pleasure of meeting Carolyn.

Susan was very responsive, warm, and welcoming when we arrived. Everything was as she said, and we loved that she had provided breakfast in the fridge for the next morning. We would love to come back as the location was great.

The Overlook on the Hilltop

We had an absolutely wonderful stay in Cranfills Gap! The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had all the comforts we needed for a relaxing escape. The peaceful countryside setting was exactly what we were looking for—quiet mornings with coffee on the porch, stunning sunsets, and a sky full of stars at night. Our host was incredibly kind and responsive, offering great local tips and making sure we felt right at home. Whether you’re looking to unwind or explore the charm of small-town Texas, this Airbnb is a perfect choice. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

J2 Farm

Our family of 5 had a wonderful stay! Our kids enjoyed playing with their cat and petting the donkeys. The house was clean and was a very comfortable. we visited Fossil Rim and did a guided tour, went to Dinosour Valley, played a Big Rocks, water Park, and they also had a music festival this weekend. This little town is the epitome of family fun. 100% recommend Tammie and Devin's place and exploring what Glen Rose has to offer.
