You don't often come across a place like this on Airbnb. The more than 130-year-old log cabin in the cultural heritage landscape of Suvanto takes its residents on a time travel to a 19th century village in the far north of Finland. The property is best suited for a friend of Lapland's nature, history and silence, who is not afraid of the dark in winter or mosquitoes in summer. Please note: there is no public transportation to the village, no toilet in the main building, nor a shower. There is a separate sauna building outside and a traditional outhouse behind the sauna.

The log cabin has beds for two. Electricity + heating. Well-equipped kitchen. No running water. The hosts take care of the drinking water in the kitchen. Fireplace. Washing in the sauna, the use of the sauna is agreed with the hosts. The hosts use the other buildings on the premises.

In addition to cross-country skiing and downhill skiing, the area has excellent opportunities for outdoor activities and hiking, even in the summer. The hotel rents skis and organizes excursions.

Enjoy the ease of life in this quiet, centrally located place. Pyhätunturi, Finland's oldest national park and ski resort, is 19 minutes away (PYHÄ). It is really suitable for a family with children. The world's cleanest air can be breathed and at the same time you can sit on reindeer antlers in the yard and watch the special northern lights that may be visible in the sky. The outdoor fireplace is about 100 m away, where you can fry sausages and marshmallows, for example. Sauna on the property.

The location is amazing, right in the middle of Pyhätunturi Lapland, 50 m from the slopes, ski tracks and restaurants and 150 m from the grocery store and national park. The lodges are comfortable and simply furnished having a private entrance, kitchen and bathroom perfect for independent travelers. The garden is safe also for small children. Welcome to spend a wonderful holiday in Riekonsoppe, at the foot of Pyhätunturi. The cottage is in a quiet area, but close to services and hiking trails. In winter, you are close to ski trails, ski slopes and downhill terrain. Pyhän Pohjoisrinteet are only 1 km away and Luosto is less than 20 km away. In spring, summer and autumn, you can go directly from the cottage to the hiking trails of Pyhä-Luosto National Park.
