We were only there for one day and it was the perfect spot, very spacious and clean, in the centre of this cute little town. It’d be great for a longer stay. Just downstairs and around the corner is the main road with all the shops and restaurants. We see no other reviews with a responsiveness issue, so we just got unlucky; we’d agreed on a 2:30pm check-in upon booking, we messaged the host the day of check-in at 9:30am to touch base, and she only replied an hour before check-in to inform us it wasn’t available until 3:30pm instead. We only had one day there and it caused us to rush through exploring one of the two castles we had planned on seeing. If you need a place to store your bags before the unit is available, take note it’s on the first floor in a communal space under the stairs to go up to the unit. It’s a very safe town but we just didn’t want to risk it so we put them on the staircase leading to the unit (3rd floor). Also FYI - The spiral staircase is very steep and narrow.

This place was Spacious; very Spacious for just my husband and I. Loved It!! Walking distance for a lot of stores and restaurants. If You really want to treat yourself go to Le Reserve-it was amazing!! Get the Apple for dessert. Eating at and living near the Clock Tower and an easy walk to the Chateau d’ Amboise was perfect. Take a cold bottle of water if you’re walking to Leonardo Di Vinci’s home. It’s worth the walk, but it is a workout, especially with no Cold Water. The chime on the Clock Tower at the 1/2 hr made me smile. Reminded me I was in France every-time! I think it stopped at 6 pm daily. I would not only return I would live here!! Merci

Logement décoré avec beaucoup de goût, proche du centre ville d'Amboise qui est donc accessible à pied. Ménage impeccable. La place de parking privée est appréciable. Nous avons pu profiter du joli patio avec salon de jardin et table pour manger. Cuisine bien équipée (lave vaisselle, Nespresso, grille pain, bouilloire). Tout le linge de maison est fourni, même un torchon..! ce qui nous est rarement arrivé en Airbnb. Très bon accueil de Philippe et petites attentions appréciables (madeleines et bouteilles d'eau fraîches). Seul bémol, le logement est sombre car il n'y a qu'une fenêtre équipée d'un filtre dépoli et elle donne directement sur la rue en rez-de-chaussée donc difficile de la laisser ouverte. La porte d'entrée est une porte fenêtre mais cela reste insuffisant pour faire entrer la lumière. En conclusion, malgré ce petit bémol c'est un beau logement que nous recommandons pour visiter Amboise sans prendre la voiture.

La Quintessence was the perfect place to stay for a long weekend in Amboise. The apartment is spacious and comfortable, with everything you could need to use. Sophie is a great host, with a long list of great recommendations which made the weekend easy and enjoyable. I would definitely come back!

Absolutely loved our stay at Greg’s place. The apartment is spacious and comfortable with everything we needed. Loved the location and walking distance to great restaurants and local sites. It’s so nice to have the street a walkable only street, parking was very easy at the church. Definitely recommend!

It was wonderful to stay in a home connected to the history of the Loire area and its architecture. We loved the elegant, tall windows, the high ceilings, the wide hallways, the fire places, the lovely lounge and dining rooms, the views of the climbing roses from the bedrooms along the back side of the house, the spacious, main bedroom and the large garden with it comfortable furniture. We ate outside and enjoyed the garden. The kitchen is pretty but a little narrow for a couple of people to work in there at the same time. It is well equiped, with everything you need to prepare meals. The main bathroom is spacious. The second bathroom is bath only with shower attachment in the bath. It was fine for us. The house is decorated with soft, pastel wall paper and is quite sparse in its decoration which I loved because I could enjoy the structures of the home without them being hidden by too much decoration. We loved our stay and would stay again. Carol also kindly looked after us.

Karen and Craig were such wonderful and attentive hosts from the moment we arrived, full of joy and great local recommendations! The setting is so peaceful and the pool was great for doing some lengths, the cottage was decorated so beautifully too. We felt right at home and enjoyed some much needed tranquility amongst the birdsong, it was such a great stay and we'd love to come back.

l'appartement de Bertrand est très propre et bien aménagé. Sa situation géographique permet d'accéder rapidement aux différents commerces. Bertrand est très réactif pour répondre à nos sollicitations.

Nos gusto mucho la estancia en la Casa, zona muy tranquila y la anfitriona muy amable.

Sejour en famille (enfants et petits enfants) qui nous laisse un excellent souvenir. Nous y retournerons avec grand plaisir. Piscine chauffée le TOP. Gite très reposant en pleine nature et proche d'AMBOISE. Cordialement. Famille FANTOU

We had a very pleasant stay at Alexandre’s house, which proved to be a great starting point to explore the Loire region with its beautiful castles! The house matches exactly the pictures and description. The kitchen in particular is very well equipped for those who like to prepare their meals at home. Supermarkets and other stores are easy to reach by car within minutes. Communication with Alexandre was very easy and we appreciated his readiness to help with every question that came up. All instructions were clear and provided on time. We recommend!

Très bon accueil de la part de Christèle, de bons conseils concernant nos visites. Logement située au calme , spacieuse et atypique. Nous ne pouvons que recommander , vous ne serez pas déçus.

On ne peut trouver meilleure prestation correspondant parfaitement à la description faite sur le site. L'humilité de nos hôtes par rapport à leur "noviciat" en AirB&B et leur souhait de recueillir toute critique ou proposition d'amélioration sont très louables. Mais comme il est précisé dans nombre d'avis publiés avant le mien, Jean-Noël et Cathy sont déjà au top. Aussi, les éventuelles améliorations seront de légers détails par rapport à la situation générale. Merci encore à eux pour l'agréable séjour que nous avons passé chez eux.

Très bon moment passé en amoureux !! la présece du jaccuzzi un vrai + le logement était très propre et bien équipé, nous avons été très bien accueili et nous avons pu profiter paisiblement de ce petit séjour.

Laetitia est très sympa, attentionnée et arrangeante. l'appartement était irréprochable : propre, accueillant et fonctionnel. La cuisine était très bien équipée, avec tout ce qui faut à disposition pour préparer de bons petits plats! Le petit bémol c'est que le chauffage collectif n'était pas en marche et on n'a pas eu très chaud (on a apprécié d'avoir des plaids à disposition). Nous avons passé un très bon weekend ! Et l'ensemble de mes amies et moi, recommandons vivement de prendre ce logement.
