The guest house dates back to the late 1800s and was originally a home for shoemakers and servants in its time. Eidsfoss is a unique historical place where it feels like time has stood still for a few decades! Here you will find, among other things, Norway's oldest general store, museum and two good restaurants (Eidsfoss Gamle Kro and Eidsfos Hovedgård), as well as several small galleries and outlets. But most of all, you should come here to find peace and quiet and enjoy the beautiful nature here!

Drøbak sitt eldste hus, Thorsehuset fra 1760, ligger på samme eiendom. Huset er verneverdig og ivaretatt med omfattende arbeider.
