You'll also find conveniences such as supermarkets and a train station. Ruffec also has an indoor pool and cinema. With central heating, you are ensured of a warm and comfortable stay.

Wood burning stove heating.Located on a peaceful rural lane close to the local village. Wonderful forest walks in close proximity. All mod cons and plenty of car parking space. Light and airy. There are numerous places of interest in the area serving a wide variety of tastes, as well as plenty of routes to explore for ramblers, walkers and cyclists.

Welcome to our home in Verteuil! We have made this house a comfortable & cozy place to stay. The house has 3 independent bedrooms (1 with an attached bath), an additional one & a half bathroom, a downstairs salon & an upstairs tv room. The house comfortably sleeps 6 people & does have a sofa bed. The kitchen is fully equipped so enjoy a snack in the kitchen or a full meal in the dining room! A highlight of the house is the private dock. Have a drink on the dock and enjoy the view!

The house is very spacious and charming, located in the heart of a beautifully picturesque town and only a (very) small distance removed from a perfect and relatively quiet patch of grass overlooking the river. The house is exactly like the pictures: it's quirky - but we enjoyed that! The townspeople are incredibly friendly and hospitable, as well as mostly fluent in English. The bakery right across the street starts somewhat early, so light sleepers be ware but don’t be deterred: their bread and croissants make more than up for it. Concerning local restaurants and bars: the bar is really close-by yet far enough to not be disturbing and the three local restaurants offer everything from an honest English fish-and-chips to finer French cuisine. We can not stress enough how friendly and warm Dianne and Simon have been. We highly recommend this to friends, family and however is planning to visit this beautiful area. We also visited Cognac and Bordeaux - highly recommend as well!

Hôte très accueillant et disponible. Le logement est impeccable, aménagé avec goût et confortable. Le village est très joli, pour 3 jours c'est agréable de se balader dans les rues, le grand parc et les chemins environnants. Excellent séjour !

Séjour parfait dans une maison familiale au cœur d'un joli village à la fois paisible et animé grâce à ses nombreux commerces et restaurants. Maison d'une propreté irréprochable et très agréable à vivre. Christine est une hôte attentionnée et très accueillante, flexible sur les horaires, compréhensive et riche de bons conseils. Un grand merci! J'espère que nous reviendrons.
