100-year-old log cabin

A 100-year-old rebuilt log sauna cabin in the tranquility of the countryside. A good night's sleep is guaranteed by a futon mattress and the opportunity to enjoy the sauna in the warmth of the wood stove while admiring the lake from the landscape window, in the summer you swim in the clean-watered lake, in the winter you jump into a refreshing ice hole. You wash with water heated with a traditional bucket. The needs are done in the outdoor toilet. There is no rush here, but the rest of the world is forgotten. Still, only a half-hour drive from the city's services.

Cottage by the lake

If you're looking for a little break from the hustle and bustle of the city to the peace of nature, this is just for you. Rent an inexpensive, modest, electrified, basic summer cottage (approx. 65 square meters) from Kangaslampi, Varkaus (the cottage is located on the south shore). Everything in the cottage is not exactly on top and in the best condition, but a basic clean cottage with everything you need. The cottage has a refrigerator, freezer, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, stove, gas grill. Basic dishes, television, radio, smoke detectors.

Log cabin on the shore of Lake Saimaa

Hand-carved 100 sqm log cabin built in 1995 on the shores of Lake Saimaa. A peaceful environment just a few minutes' drive from the services of Varkaus city center. The place is well suited for a weekend of relaxation, as well as for a longer stay. Basic amenities and cooking utensils. In connection with the cottage, there is a very spacious wood-fired sauna. The hut in the yard and the barbecue shed are freely available. The cottage is suitable for year-round stays, but in the middle of winter it is worth bringing woolen socks with you :)

Ranta-Mäntylä

Welcome to relax in the lap of the forest! Ranta-Mäntylä is located on the shore of a beautiful and fishy lake (Kallavesi), in the midst of nature, in the yard of our home, just a 25-minute drive from the cities of Kuopio and Leppävirta. The property includes two buildings. The heated cottage comfortably accommodates two people. There are sleeping places for two in the sleeping barn during the summer. Guests have access to a grill, a sup board, and a rowing boat. An additional fee for using the hot tub. Please book a hot tub in advance.

This traditional log cabin offers a peaceful hideaway right on the shore of the lake. Carved from thick logs, the cabin exudes peace. The cottage has a high living room, a reserved fireplace, a kitchen, a spacious wood-burning sauna with benches and a shower, a dressing room, a toilet, a sleeping loft and a bedroom, a covered porch and a separate sauna for post-sauna cooling. In summer, the place has the special feature of the cowbell ringing in the adjacent, fenced forest pasture when a small herd arrives at the beach to drink.

Planning a holiday or business trip? Welcome to the Taideniitty residences in the heart of Old Varkaus. Niitty is a cosy 50 m2 apartment on the first floor. You'll have a living-bedroom with a wood-burning stove. you'll also have a modern, fully equipped kitchen with basic necessities and a toilet with a shower. PikkuTaika in Old Varkaus is a unique and peaceful place where it is easy to relax. There is room for one - two and even three people. The apartment is an approx. 25 sqm studio apartment on the first floor: living/bedroom with a kitchenette as well as a private toilet and shower. Our building was completed in approx. 1916 as apartments for the workers of Ahlström's factories. A large and cozy courtyard area crowns the stay.
