Perfect location to experience sound of silence and get in touch with nature, while watching Aurora in winter and the midnight sun in summertime. The area is great for fishing, hiking, hunting, skiing or just relaxation inside by the fireplace or outside by the campfire pan. We provide top range snowshoes, waterproof insulated overalls, headlights and spikes for shoes.

Dåfjord Lodge & Ocean sauna

Beautiful and rustic house by the sea in the countryside 1 hrs drive from the city of Tromsø. The area is great for hiking, skiing, fishing and watcing the midnight sun in the summer and aurora borealis during winter. For a fee, our guests can also book the ocean sauna hot tub facilities , with a woodfired hot-tub and sauna placed on a big outdoor deck with a fireplace and a cosy indoor chill-zone. Guests can use our 12ft rowing boat and some fishing gear for free during the summerseason.

We love our house! It's on the most amazing location right by the sea with a view over beautiful mountains, surrounded by nature, and if you are lucky you'll see wild life like reindeers, otters, moose and whales and you can also see Northern Lights from the house. We built the house in 2018 and moved in right away. The house is modern, well equipped and it has a fantastic panorama sauna only a few meters from the sea. The place is quiet and the neighbors are very friendly and helpful.

Do you want to stay in a beautiful remote place, while still connected to the city? Grøtfjord is located just a 40 min. drive from Tromsø. Close to some of the areas most amazing mountains, fjords, ski and climbing areas. a. Big appartment with 1 bedroom that holds a king size bed and one bunk bed. There is a fold out sleeping couch in the living room. All facilites, towels to firewood are included! A car is needed to get to grøtfjord. The hosts live in a different section of the house.

Velkommen til vår koselige hytte! Denne tradisjonelle hytten ble opprinnelig brukt som egne-bu for fiske og fangst i gamle dager. Den er renovert og har toalett i egen bygning som på 1950 tallet. Deres private bad og vaskemaskin er i verts bolig. Hytten ligger for seg selv i havgapet med fantastisk utsikt over hav, fjell og fjord, Det er et rikt dyreliv her og stranden er rett utenfor. Kanskje får dere øye på dyr som elg, oter, hval, røyskatt eller ørn :)
