We stayed at the wonderful Fontanaro villa in the village of Paciano, and it was truly a soul-refreshing experience. Lucia is an incredibly caring host, and Pam, who looked after our stay, was a real treasure. She not only provided excellent recommendations on places to visit but also took care of reservations, ensuring we had nothing to worry about. This was not just an ordinary stay; it was a unique experience. We had the opportunity to participate in an olive oil tasting and a cooking class—both activities left an indelible impression. The villa we stayed in was not only stunningly beautiful but also boasted an impressive wine cellar with an extraordinary collection. Overall, our stay at Fontanaro villa exceeded all expectations. It was more than just accommodation—it was an experience we will never forget.

Ho trascorso una settimana in compagnia di amici nella struttura di Patrizia. L’immobile è immerso nelle colline e nel verde, in posizione abbastanza comoda per visitare la vicina Umbria e i magnifici Borghi aretini/senesi. Il soggiorno è stato magnifico: la pace, la tranquillità e la bellezza del contesto hanno reso questa esperienza unica. Posto ideale per chi cerca relax, lontano dal frenetico incedere della vita di città.

Wir haben uns in dem Haus rundum wohlgefühlt – alles war genau wie beschrieben. Antonio und seine Frau sind äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir konnten wunderbar entspannen und den Urlaub in vollen Zügen genießen. Das Haus ist uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen und wir planen auf jeden Fall wiederzukommen. In der Umgebung gibt es viel zu entdecken – besonders lohnenswert sind Tagesausflüge nach Tivoli, Assisi, Perugia, Pienza und Orvieto.

L’alloggio “il Cottage“ è un delizioso appartamentino di due camere che si trova proprio accanto alla fortezza (che lo rende ancora più suggestivo). Francesca e Aliek ci hanno accolti con gentilezza e professionalità, facendoci sentire come a casa nostra. Tutta la loro famiglia è stata molto carina e disponibile, inclusi cani, gatti e asinelli che sono stati per noi una compagnia inaspettata e molto gradevole. La fortezza si trova in un’area molto tranquilla ma allo stesso tempo vicino alle maggiori attrazioni turistiche dell’Umbria facilmente raggiungibili in auto, al massimo in un paio d’ore. Assolutamente consigliato sia per coppie che per famiglie, o semplicemente per persone che amano la tranquillità e la bellezza .

I was looking for a spacious, comfortable place with pleasant outdoor features. I found it here. Beautiful, rural, Tuscan surroundings, yet only 20 minutes from Cortona: a great hill town of middling size. Plenty of room for 4 - 6 people with very good sleeping arrangements. Convenient kitchen, washer, and furnishings helped make my almost 3 week stay enjoyable. Definitely benefitted by the instructions, you tube video, and good communication. Would certainly consider another stay if in the area again!

Noi e il nostro cane ci siamo trovati benissimo. Il posto è incantevole con una vista mozzafiato. Paola è molto cortese, presente e disponibile. Ci ha permesso di andare oltre l'orario di check out, senza un limite di tempo.

De omschrijving klopt precies bij het huis. Heel veel privacy. Fantastisch uitzicht. Heel schoon en erg vriendelijke host. Bij aankomst hartelijk welkom geheten en een duidelijke uitleg. Er zijn twee echte boekjes gemaakt met tips om te doen in de omgeving. Verder is de private chef een echte aanrader. Super lekker gegeten en een hoop geleerd over de Italiaanse keuken. Geduld met koken is het toverwoord. Eenvoudig, maar o zo lekker. Luca is een heel vriendelijke chef. Het huis is heel gezellig ingericht met alle voorzieningen. We hebben (mede door het hele mooie weer) heerlijk kunnen genieten van de tuin en het zwembad. Ondanks de tijd van het jaar en watertemperatuur 18 graden, hebben we regelmatig rond het zwembad gezeten en heerlijk kunnen borrelen en zwemmen. We kunnen niet wachten om weer te gaan. È stato tutto magnifico, per noi due e i nostri due cani, è stato come vivere un sogno. Ambiente pulito e confortevole, presenti tutte le attrezzature necessarie. Non abbiamo utilizzato la sauna, ma c'è anche quella. E cosa dire del giardino? Ampio, comodo, recinzione alta, con barbecue, tavolo e sedie all'aperto, fontanelle per bere, sdraio. oltre tutto c'è anche un altro giardino, sempre recintato, al quale accedere tramite un cancello presente all'interno della proprietà, con alberi da frutta (mele, pere, ciliegie, fichi, noci, albicocche). Vista magnifica su tutto il Gran Sasso. Gli host sono sempre stati disponibili, gentili e proattivi, con la massima discrezione. Speriamo di poter tornare presto.

We had the privilege of staying a month in this beautiful stone house nestled in a forest with outstanding views of the Umbria hills and the medieval village of Rotecastello. Tranquility itself taking long walks in the woods with the birds chirping throughout the day. The house is centrally located to quaint local villages such as Orvieto, Assisi, Spoleto as well as many others. Florence is only a 2 hour drive. The town of Marciano is a few kilometres away with all the amenities needed to make delicious meals at home and if you like fish, on Tuesdays and Thursdays the truck in the centre of town is excellent as is the homestead pasta shop. Gabriele and Valeria, a sophisticated couple who show their dedication to their guest from the interior cleanliness and decor to the gorgeous flowers surrounding the house. Very welcoming couple always with a smile, yet still honouring your privacy. Arturo, their dog is an absolute joy. This is a 100% recommendation all around!

Die Wohnung von Livio und Vittoria ist sehr geschmackvoll und elegant eingerichtet, geräumig und gut ausgestattet. Die kleine Küche ist gemütlich und ermöglicht die Zubereitung von vollständigen Speisen. Die Umgebung ist wundervoll und lädt zu schönen Ausflügen ein. Der Pool ist angenehm und bietet herrliche Entspannung. Wir haben es als Familie mit Hund sehr genossen.

Daniela’s place was spacious for our family of five. She was there to greet us upon arrival and give us the grand tour. Provided us with nearby attractions, which we attended. Our stay was in October and the pool was ready for us, we had a visit from a cat, whom we named Giuseppe and an indoor fireplace made the house toasty warm. We enjoyed our stay here and would come back.

My partner and I had a wonderful stay! The place is exactly as described — actually even more beautiful in person than in the photos. The surrounding nature is stunning, the bed was very comfortable, and the house had everything we needed. We even managed to enjoy a nice barbecue! I truly couldn’t recommend this place more — it’s absolutely magical. Check-in was super smooth, and the host was perfect: not intrusive or anxious at all (which has happened to me before elsewhere). Everything went perfectly. Thank you so much!

Het is een werkelijk geweldig echt Italiaans huis. Heel gezellig, we voelden ons meteen thuis. Heel compleet. Twee fijne grote slaapkamers met plafond ventilator, één slaapkamer op het zoldertje die wat kleiner was, matras op de grond en airconditioner (die het niet zo goed deed). Het was een erg hete week (tot 40 graden). We hielden alles dicht overdag, maar het bleef erg warm op de slaapkamers. Nog een paar airco's zou heel fijn zijn. Maar...het ging wel, we hebben lekker geslapen op de goede matrassen. Rondom het huis heerlijke plekjes. Nog mooier dan op de foto's. We verhuisden met de zon mee van plekje naar plekje. Het zwembad is fantastisch (en echt nodig met die hitte). Het huis ligt behoorlijk afgelegen aan een heel klein weggetje. We zijn nogal eens verdwaald. Dat kwam ook omdat er onderweg niet altijd internetverbinding is. Tot slot veel lof voor de fantastische Adriano die altijd bereikbaar was en steeds even checkte of alles goed was. Bedankt Elvira en Adriano!!

Soggiorno da raccomandare a chi necessitá della vicinanza di percorsi,innevati o meno a seconda della stagione,ma anche per godere del silenzio a soli 20 minuti d’ auto dal Parco Nazionale e Ceppo.

Wir haben die schöne Unterkunft und den großen, grünen Außenbereich sehr genossen. Die Aussicht auf den See ist umwerfend und man kann ungestört seinen Urlaub verbringen, da es keine direkten Nachbarn gibt. Die Casetta ist gut ausgestattet mit allen nötigen Utensilien, die man für den täglichen Bedarf benötigt. Frühstück oder Mittagessen haben wir immer gern auf der angrenzenden Terrasse unter dem schönen Blauregen genossen. Man sollte Essen allerdings nicht offen herumstehen lassen, da es Ameisen gibt. Im nicht weit entfernten Dorf hat man verschiedene Einkaufsmöglichkeiten oder Restaurantoptionen, und auch andere Orte sind gut und schnell erreichbar durch die nahe Anbindung zur Autobahn. Ein Höhepunkt des Urlaubs war Luigiana, die uns nicht nur sehr herzlich bei unserer Ankunft empfing, sondern während unseres ganzen Aufenthalts immer erreichbar war. Sie hat immer schnell reagiert, wenn man eine Frage oder ein Problem hatte. Außerdem hat sie sehr leckeres Olivenöl. Danke für alles!

This was our second stay in this beautiful house. For us, the main attractions are the private pool and the magnificent views of the valley and surrounding hilltop villages. A spacious, cosy home-away-from-home.

Abbiamo trascorso un fine settimana meraviglioso in questo appartamento. La tranquillità e la privacy del luogo sono impagabili, sia all'interno che negli spazi esterni si respira una totale serenità. L'appartamento era impeccabilmente pulito e abbiamo particolarmente apprezzato il letto, incredibilmente comodo! Viaggiando con nostro figlio di quasi 3 anni, trovare un ambiente dove potersi davvero rilassare non è scontato, e qui ci siamo riusciti pienamente. Consigliamo vivamente questo alloggio a chiunque cerchi un rifugio di pace e comfort.

Das Haus ist sehr schön, sehr abgelegen (1km privater schotterweg zum Haus) und ruhig und komplett von der Natur umgeben. Der Pool ist riesig und sehr gut mit Dusche und Klo direkt am Pool ausgestattet. Jedes Zimmer hat noch ein eigenes großes Badezimmer und es gibt sogar 2 Küchen. Die Terrasse und generell der ganze Außenbereich ist sehr schön und mit genug Bäumen hat man auch schönen natürlichen Schatten. Alles in allem waren wir sehr zufrieden, die Kommunikation mit Milagros war auch sehr einfach und schnell. Die Unterkunft ist auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen!

Soggiornare in questo cottage è stata un’esperienza meravigliosa! Panorama splendido e Federica è una persona gentilissima, davvero squisita! Il cottage è semplicissimo da raggiungere, le stanze sono pulite e c’è tutto l’occorrente per trascorrere qualche giorno in relax…bellissima anche la piscina, la zona solarium e gli animali. Posto perfetto per chi ha bambini o vuole rilassarsi immerso nella natura!
