At the fortifications there are excellent swimming, fishing and hiking opportunities. It does not go up so calculate to walk about 20 minutes to get up to the cabin. There are solar cells, 12 volt facilities for lighting and fan on the toilet, as well as a TV with DVD player if you want to relax with a movie in the evening. Refrigerator and stove on gas. Fish trout and carus in the water or walk an about 3 hour hike across the mountain into Bergen city center, enjoy an ice cold on the pier and take the bus back in the evening. It comes with a boat you can use.

Magnificent view over the ocean

Experience spectacular views from the Bird Box, located at the top of Ørnhaugen on Langøy. From here you can enjoy a fantastic view all the way to the North Sea, with sunset on the horizon over Algrøy. When it blows on the ocean, you can see white sea spraying up islets and cut all the west to Løno. If you arrive by kayak or boat, you can walk to the bird box from the spring. We really enjoyed staying at Havard’s place. The house is in the hills with beautiful views and is so well equipped and comfortable. You will need a car; Harvard provides a charging station. We found it easy to drive 8mins to the local village and catch a bus to the centre of Bergen. We didn’t have to wait more than 4mins for a bus which then takes 15mins to the Bryggen area. We enjoyed a couple of local walks from the house; there is the potential for longer hikes. We purchased 48hr Bergen Cards; but didn’t get the value from them so we wouldn’t recommend them. We have no hesitation in recommending this AirBnB.

A Perfect Stay in a Fantastic Location! We had an absolutely wonderful experience staying at Anne's Airbnb. The location is unbeatable—right next to the fish market, with e-scooters readily available all around. The flat itself is incredibly spacious, offering all the amenities we could possibly need. A particularly thoughtful touch was the friendly neighbor who went out of their way to assist us. The large, airy balcony was a highlight, providing stunning views of the harbor, with ships and ferries gliding past—truly mesmerizing! Transportation was a breeze, with easy access to taxis, buses, and train connections. The flat itself was huge and extremely comfortable, making our stay even more enjoyable. We loved every moment and will undoubtedly be returning. Thank you, Anne, for a super awesome stay!

Had an amazing stay the flat was amazing and the views were very nice. Ingrid was a lovely host and very welcoming. It’s very easy to travel around the area and into Bergen as the bus terminal is a 5 minute walk away along with a supermarket and shopping center.

Comfortable and convenient place very close to the airport but with a nice rural feel and view of the Bergen Fjord. Stig seemed to be away for the weekend when we stayed but they wasn’t a problem. He’s doing some work on one side of the house and the path to the door is a bit rough and might be a problem for someone with mobility problems. Otherwise recommended.

Beautiful cabin on the fjord! It was clean and decorated nicely. We found everything we needed. The view was absolutely breathtaking. Definitely recommend. Note: the walk down to cabin is rather steep in areas. More difficult of a walk up but doable.
