Nostalgia

A charming house from the 1800s with a great atmosphere. The property is beautifully located by the lake overlooking Ålesund and Sunnmørsalpene. Only 15 min by car from Ålesund city and the nearest airport, but is still a place that gives peace of mind. Outside the garden there is cultivated land with grazing animals in late summer. The island of Giske itself is a gem with a marble church from the Middle Ages, beaches, untouched nature and bird life. The island was once home to Norway's most powerful noble family, the Arnungs, and is mentioned in the Snorre saga.

We rent out our house when we are away, close to Ålesund, nice view and child-friendly. Large garden with trampoline. Kitchen, TV room, living room and two bedrooms; one with two single beds and the other with a double bed (160). It is also possible to make a bed in the TV room if needed (for a small surcharge). IMPORTANT! Low ceiling (but all the more cozy). Our cat lives here too. Direct bus to Ålesund 50 m away from the house (approx. 20 min travel time). Otherwise, it's 10-12 min. by car to both the city center of Ålesund and the airport.

The house is located 35m from the parking lot in sloping terrain. The house is located at the end of Goksøyra with easy access to mountains and fjær. Only 30 min. walk to Fuglefjellet. It has been recently gently refurbished inside. The bathroom is brand new and is on the 1st floor. It is laid out with 6 sleeping places, but may be best suited for 4 people(2 double rooms). The third bedroom has 2 single beds. The stairs up to the bedrooms are steep. Screened patio and own garden. It takes 25 minutes to drive to the municipal center Fosnavåg.
