If your looking for a nice quiet place outside of San Jose, this is a nice break from towns and cities. Quiet rural setting. Appreciate the help with fires in the fireplace in the evening. Javier brought us the wood and even started the fireplace in the evenings for us. Very nice folks.

The place was beautiful, simple and peaceful! My hosts were kind, patient and extremely hospitable!

I went with my wife and 8-year-old daughter. We had a great time. Viviana was always available and very attentive to any questions or requests we made. The place is spectacular. The pool is amazing. Definitely a place we'd like to go back to.

Such a nice little place, beautifully set up. I loved the shower. The big glass door looking out into the back yard make the space feel like your out in the wilderness while still being close to everything you need. The bed could be more comfortable, I had to make it up myself too. Other than that it was a pleas t stay and Olga was very helpful.

It was a great stay It had good, clean towels and linens. Everything clean and organized. It matched the listing. I just didn't like the shower with a timer, because the hot water only lasted about 5 minutes, for those with long hair it's difficult to shower in such a short time. Otherwise, I have nothing but praise!!!

Very comfortable stay, all the rooms are nice. The kitchen has all the necessary cooking utensils. The garden is very pleasant. A nice experience that I would repeat for more days.

This is the second time we've stayed at Matilde's. Everything was perfect, as always! This time we toured the area a little more and loved the restaurants and bars there. I highly recommend it!

Elizabeth, Philip and their son are exceptional hosts. We enjoyed our stay as their hospitality is heart felt and their space ideal to relax and restore. The guest house is surrounded by a lush garden and magical trees. The pool is refreshing and private. A true gem!

A converted former workshop, it has everything I needed for a comfortable stay. It is located in a popular area of Salto. Just like her husband, Ana Laura was very friendly and welcoming. I'll go back to her place.

Okay this was honestly one of the most beautiful places I've ever stayed. The pictures cannot do it justice. It is STUNNING. The land, the sky, the buildings. Wow. Thank you Josse for creating such a paradise and sharing it with us!! Anyone would be lucky to experience this.
