Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Untersee

The previous reviews have raised high expectations, which have been consistently met. Everything that has been written so far is true! The prepared hiking trails, some of which start at the house, are particularly great. After hiking, relaxation in the sauna, then a cozy evening in the beautiful apartment. Only one disadvantage: we didn't stay long enough! So highly recommended, namely host and vacation home, you effectively stay and live like on cloud nine.

We were with 2 families in Paul's vacation home! There is plenty of space! Since we had super nice weather, we could almost always sit in the garden! The highlight was in the morning at breakfast, when the alpacas suddenly greeted us! The children and we felt very comfortable and we were able to enjoy our stay very much! Communication between the hosts and us always worked very well and quickly! Thank you for the lovely stay

A wonderful house with veranda and seating, located right on the lakeshore with a swing; all around trees, reeds, birds, view of the water, access to the lake. Everything is available in the kitchen and bathroom. Despite the rainy weather, I found the surroundings and the view of the lake extremely attractive, I felt very comfortable in the house and the surroundings. I'd love to come back!

We had a great stay at Tamara's place. The location and views are beautiful. Tamara also gave us some tips for activities beforehand. You just felt like it was important to her that we felt comfortable and so do we! I would come back anytime

As a group of friends of four people, we really enjoyed our stay. Apart from the fact that one of the mattresses was already a bit worn, we liked the apartment. The layout of the apartment together with the furnishing style and the furnishings (especially board games) we liked it.

We had a wonderful stay at this place! The place is very nice and well equipped, so nothing is missing. We were particularly impressed by the quiet location, which offers a perfect retreat. The view of the lake is simply fantastic and provides a relaxed atmosphere. The first coffee in the morning is such a special experience. The communication with Jacqueline was excellent – the clear instructions left no questions unanswered. In addition, the brochures provided with activities were a great addition to explore the surroundings and make the most of the stay. We can definitely recommend this place.

Very nice converted barn. You feel right at home. It has everything you need. From the coffee machine to the vacuum cleaner. The balcony is set back and you have your peace. No one can see it and you also have a bit of a lake view. A dream. However, people who rely on cell phone reception or mobile Internet are in a bad position here. Cell phone reception is almost non-existent and the WiFi was not stable in our case. There were probably issues with the repeater. But it didn't bother us. We'll be back for sure.

The cottage is really so hidden in the countryside behind a huge fir, walnut and much more, that we could absolutely enjoy being alone. Unfortunately, the weather was a bit moody, but even that was perfect, so we could once again sleep very well and for a long time... until the morning birdsong. Simply wonderful - PURE NATURE! We really enjoyed our stay!

We were there as a group of 6 with 2 dogs. We just wanted to relax and play a lot of games on an extended weekend. It was exactly as we imagined it. We were able to relax in the spa, cool off in the pool during the day (was 30°) and play in the lounge in the evening. With the dogs, we could take many great walks nearby. It was very nice, thank you :)

Host was very accommodating and made the stay comfortable. Home is situated in an incredible landscape with close proximity to skiing, which was the main reason for the stay. Would absolutely return.

The house is in a quiet location, very clean and tidy. Equipped with every comfort in the kitchen, bathroom, and bedrooms. Katharina answered my questions and was kind. It's convenient to have WiFi and free parking near the house. We were very satisfied with our stay

Despite various changes on my part, everything worked great and the host responded understandingly, as well as made everything possible. We are completely satisfied, so I can recommend the accommodation 100%!

We had a great time staying at Eckharts place. The place was clean, spacious, and flooded with light, in a very peaceful neighbourhood with all stores in walkable distance. There’s a neighbour’s car that comes greeting in the garden every day, which is great. We had some funny scaredy cat moments as sometimes the ceiling was creaking mysteriously…. And at night the bed made mysterious sounds… but nothing too scary 😁 The host is very responsive and helpful. Thanks for having us!

We were very comfortable. The balcony was a real highlight. We also appreciated the proximity to the lake. Franziska was very kind.

Karin has created an unbelievable space that is tucked away in some of the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen! Karin herself is an amazing host; responsive and attentive to any questions you may have and very understanding of any potential language hurdles (I am a non-native German speaker). She is just so welcoming! The space itself is stunning and so well laid out. Even though it is a 'tiny house', the yard and the greenhouse make it feel like you could stay there for a whole summer. 10/10 would recommend and I hope my travels bring me back here one day. We had the pleasure of spending the last few days in this great Airbnb apartment and it was just perfect! The apartment is not only clean and stylish, but also offers everything you need for a relaxing stay. The location is ideal – quiet yet central, so you can quickly reach all the important sights. Linda was very helpful at all times and immediately made sure that the Internet connection was stable. Since I combined work & vacation on the first day, this was indispensable for me. The communication was friendly and uncomplicated at all times. Small highlights: ✔️ Super comfortable bed ✔️ Fully equipped kitchen ✔️ Separate office Conclusion: Absolute recommendation! We highly recommend this place. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

Christoph’s place in Ermatingen is a beautiful place , close to a lake, fantastic views and picture perfect. Had a lovely stay and felt it was very short, will go back there anytime , will strongly recommend this to anyone who wants to get away from the city and have a quiet time close to beautiful views and a lake. Christoph and Marianne were very helpful and extremely nice. Highly appreciate their hospitality.

Our second trip to Switzerland and this was our first stop on the trip. We were blown away with the view! This place has it all. Views out of every window, radiant heat, hiking trails galore and everything you need for comfort. The duvets were like giant, soft puffy clouds! There is a restaurant literally right outside your door and nothing else but trails to different locations. Be mindful that the gondola to get here on runs from 8:30am-5-30pm so plan accordingly or you'll have a grueling 1.5-2 hour walk from the bottom. You cannot get here by car. We loved that part! Another pro tip - The 10 minute walk from the gondola to the cottage is a gravel road. We had to drag our suitcases to and from. It's uphill back to the gondola. But none of that will matter when you see the views from the gravel path and the living room window! This place is heaven on earth. Bettina was always quick to respond and super friendly. She made everything seamless! Book it!!

The accommodation is just right for those seeking peace and quiet. Large area for private use, right by the forest. Completely alone! Ideal for long walks with the dog and romantic barbecues by the open fire. Stein am Rhein & Schaffhausen are a few minutes' drive away. We really enjoyed it and would be happy to come back! Also highly recommended for workation!
