The ambiance was peaceful, and the surroundings were impeccably clean. Our host and caretaker were incredibly kind, hospitable, and friendly, making us feel right at home. If you're looking for a tranquil retreat from the city, Green Wave is a perfect choice. Highly recommended!

The property has a peaceful charm with a relaxing atmosphere, a private pool, karaoke, and beautiful surroundings—ideal if you’re looking to completely unplug and stay put. However, our experience was mixed due to several factors that future guests should be aware of. The biggest challenge was the location. The house is remote and not listed in the city’s tourism directory, making it hard for local transport providers to locate. Accessibility is heavily impacted by the tides—depending on the time of day, getting in and out requires a flat boat (at an extra fee), which felt like a charge that should have been included in the price. While island hopping was available, it came at an additional cost, and leaving the property for any activities required extra planning and expense. If you’re not planning to explore and are content staying at the property, this might not be an issue—but it’s something to keep in mind.

Nous avons bien été renseigné par Sheila pour accéder et trouver le logement. Elvie a été au petits soins pour nous (repas, renseignements) et par sa disponibilité. Elle nous a préparé des cupcakes à la mangue (excellent). Nous avons bénéficié d’un diner aux bougies et brasero où elle avait cuisiné un tartare de poisson à notre demande. Lieu calme avec des belles vues sur la mer.

Your home away from home. If you are looking for a cozy close to nature accommodation, book this place! They also serve good food and the staff are friendly and corteous.

We enjoyed staying in Tita Cha's place. She is very attentive and helpful with all our needs. She also helped us with transpo around the area. I highly recommend her place as this is nearby the beach. Also we enjoyed spending time with her as we shared a lot of stories together at home. Thank you so much for sharing local food and wisdom. The room is clean and has its own comfort room. It's also perfect for someone working from home because they offer free Wi-Fi. If you're planning an island or day tour on a budget, I would definitely recommend Charito's Airbnb. It's only about 15 minutes by tricycle to Alibojod Cove. It’s better to rent a motorbike at Jaro Wharf upon arrival, since transportation in the area is mostly by tricycle, which can be a bit pricey. Another good thing is that there’s a restaurant and a sari-sari store right in front of the Airbnb. However, if you're someone who loves snacks and extras, I’d suggest bringing your own before heading to Guimaras, as the stores there have limited stock. Overall, our experience with Nanay Charito was superb! She is very accommodating, always willing to help, gives great suggestions, and is always smiling. We will definitely come back and recommend her Airbnb—it really feels like home. 🏠❤️

I have been using Airbnb for a while now and this is the first time I have encountered a host that went out of their way. Since Mae was available that day she picked me up from the port, drove me around the island to do sight seeing and having good meals. I had so much fun. Aside from that, on my last day, she still brought me breakfast, because she was worried that if the power outages from the previous night. Talk about hospitality. Her place is nice but on rougher side. If you’re fancy person and like super nice stuff in their accommodation this is not for you. But if you’re adventurous I highly recommend her place.
