Christina’s cottage was even better than the photos! Everything was so beautiful and clean. She goes the extra mile for her guests and had the best little details that made our stay so special. From the farm eggs in the fridge, to the fresh baked loaf on the counter when we arrived, it really felt like home. She even left us homemade spaghetti sauce in the freezer and pasta noodles for an easy meal. It was defrosted within 30 minutes and we had a yummy dinner! The cottage was very quiet inside and we weren’t disturbed by any outside noises. We LOVED the fresh mowed pasture walk to the creek as well, really a gem!! We would 100% stay here again.

This place was absolutely gorgeous. Big beautiful windows opened out onto trees and gardens, outdoor spaces to relax. Karen was super responsive and friendly. Thanks so much!

Andrew's place is extremely well thought-out. We had everything we could possibly need. His attention to detail in making the home cozy and convenient was much appreciated. The surroundings are beautiful. He's done an incredible job with the property. We loved taking the short hike up the hill and admiring his gravity-fed spring water. The front porch has a pristine table we loved eating at and enjoying the fresh breeze. The cabin is so clean and well-decorated. The kitchen is small but functional, including the fun 1920s oven. The only thing I could possibly think to complain about is the logging trucks roaring down the road in the mornings - we kept the windows open and they would wake me up. But that's not something that can be helped and was really not a big deal. We had a lovely stay and can definitely recommend!

We loved the charm of downtown Oakland with so many historic buildings and homes! Bette, her husband, and their staff were nice people and made our stay quite enjoyable. Bette includes a complimentary wine tasting at the beautifully restored Bank Vault with a great selection of locally sourced Triple Oak wines (do stock up). You'll enjoy the historic homes (95) and downtown Oakland Museum all within walking distance and quite a nice stroll on a sunny day. The drive out to the nearby Mildred Kinipe park is quite scenic with a load of trails and a family of peacocks! We would also recommend a visit to the Secret Wine Society. The owner Robert has a great command of tasty international wines and sakes to sate the tastebuds! Nearby Ford Pond is also worth a visit. We'll definitely return to Oakland in the future!
