Stay in Mongolian Nomadic Family

Organised transport to and from Ulaanbaatar and a driver/tour guide for the day for $100. The guide was lovely, and we had fun battling through the rain. Family were very accommodating, and the ger was comfortable and warm.

Nomadic cooking, 3 meals included! Home stay with nomadic family in Naraiha Grassland or Oku-Terelj

AkikoRating, 5 stars5 months ago
My daughter (11 years old) and I stayed together. It is still difficult for my daughter to ride for a long time, so I did not ride the horse, and instead asked for additional options for a dog sledding experience and a visit to the Chinggis Khan Mounted Statue.Messaging was seamless and accommodating with additional requests and inquiries. There were some instances where this schedule was not communicated well on site, but I contacted them and they responded immediately.During my stay, the nomads took care of me and made me feel very comfortable. She worked hard to communicate with me in the Finger Talk Book and the Translation app, and it was a very warm stay. We'd love to come back again in a different season.

Oyuna provided us with an incredible memorable stay with a Mongolia family in a very traditional, yet modern and comfortable stay. Our ger was warm, our bellies full of good food, and we were always chatting! We would love to come back and stay again, in different season, and different settings! She stands out amongst the rest due to her incredible and friendly personality.

Mongolian national Ger .

KatharinaRating, 5 stars7 months ago
We stayed three nights at Oyunas brothers Ger. There were some small miscommunications but over all we had a great stay! We got the most delicious vegetarian food and the family was very friendly. Make sure to tell Oyuna beforehand what your expectations are and what you would like to experience. We asked to milk cows and did a short horse ride. We could also watch how the family made cheese curt. Unfortunately Oyuna was not with us so we could not understand the family. I recommend you do some research on hiking in that area because we didn’t know where to go in our free time. On our last day the family took us to Terelj national park for 70$ per person. A tour with English speaking guide would have been better, but we still enjoyed our time! Thank you!!! :)

This hostel is friendly and helps you have a special experience in Mongolia. It is located in Terjji National Park, and if you communicate with the host and the staff, they will provide local guidance at an appropriate price. In particular, the pick-up and drop-off service is the best, and the Mayak manager is very friendly. We help with flexible check-in/check-out. When I come to Mongolia, UB, I will stay in this ger again.

A traditional and clean ger, let's have a "petit nomad experience"!! 3-40 minutes (by car) from the city, a place where locals go to relax on weekends and summer holidays, not a tourist spot so the air is clean, they are happy to help with tourist advice, the family is lovely, a national park with the source of the Selve River (by car), if you walk up the mountain behind it the view is amazing!

Winter/Summer Ger Stay in Terelj National Park

KeefeRating, 5 stars17 months ago
Our recent stay at Hustai Park, also facilitated by Voli, was another unforgettable experience. The availability of familiar leafy greens amidst the winter season added a touch of homeliness to our meals. Seeing the wild horses in their native snowy environment, flourishing after being nearly extinct, was inspiring. Alongside the wild horses, we were captivated by the sight of the unique Mongolian wildlife, including reindeer and distinctively furry cows, adapted to the harsh Mongolian winters. The rangers were exceptionally accommodating, often stopping the vehicle upon request for us to capture the stunning landscapes and the array of wildlife in their snowy habitat. A notable incident that underscored Voli's exceptional hospitality involved my lost iPhone. He promptly assisted us in filing a police report, when we were unable to do so owing to our need to catch the next flight to Beijing. We highly recommend this experience to anyone seeking a genuine and remarkable Mongolian holi

Boutique Ger Stay in Khustai National Park

MilesRating, 5 stars13 months ago
Ganaa and Siilegmaa are the best hosts I’ve ever encountered in my life. True, generous, real hosts — not overbearing or people-pleasing but genuine, warm and effortlessly giving. This will sound cliche but I have no other way of putting it — they somehow, magically, made me feel like we were family — this across a seemingly insurmountable language barrier (bridged with a little janky google translate magic which, if you don’t speak Mongolian, I would recommend). And leaving felt like I was leaving home for the first time. I don’t know how this was possible and I won’t forget it. Siilegmaa’s meals are so nourishing and Ganaa took me on these awesome herding expeditions across the grasslands. Location: you will see an army of goats, scattered little horse tribes, the sunset, the sunrise, the impossibly vast landscape and you will be moved. But above all, these are great people. Come.

Yurt Stay Where Wild Horses Pasture

KeefeRating, 5 stars17 months ago
We stayed at a charming farmhouse in Mongolia and Voli's flexibility as a tour guide was outstanding, as he adapted our itinerary to fit our specific needs. Our visit to the nomads was a warm and welcoming, and tobogganing with the local kids was nothing short of exhilarating — full of fun and laughter, albeit freezing! Horseback riding on Mongolian horses through scenic mountains offered us a unique perspective of the landscape. Another surprise awaited us at the horse farm, where we were invited to visit the ger of the farm’s owner, a friend of Voli’s. His ger, in contrast to the first one we visited, was adorned with horse-themed decor and even equipped with modern amenities. This visit provided us with fascinating insights into the diverse ways nomads personalise and modernise their gers. Our stay was filled with warmth, adventure, and impeccable hospitality, highly recommended to anyone looking for a genuine and unforgettable Mongolian holiday.

Mongolian Nomad Family

Spent an amazing 5 days with Voli and a nomad family! Voli is an extremely knowledgeable guide and well equipped with information on both nomadic lifestyle and places of interests! He speaks great English (hence translate well between locals and me!). Voli was also very flexible with travel plans and was responsive to needs and requests :) Will definitely be back to travel the rest of Mongolia with Voli!

4 Season Ger (Yurt) Stay at Chinggis Statue

ThaoRating, 5 stars6 months ago
Voli was like a Mongolian father to us. He was extremely accommodating and responded to everything our group needed. I could not have asked for a better host and guide. If you want the full accommodation + tour - he does provided this. We received a luxury 7 days jam packed trip for probably 3 times better value than what other luxury tour companies would have quoted. We had a lot of fun and well taken care of. He allowed us to learn a lot about Mongolia and found us experiences that was once in a life time. Voli spoke flawless English too and has a lot of energy. I would definitely recommend Voli for any first time Mongolian traveler or even experienced travelers who are looking for local thrills. We will definitely be visiting Mongolia again and will definitely give Voli a call. Thank you Mongolian papa 😆
