The Ponderosa is relaxing and peaceful for anyone. If you need more space, we have outdoor areas for RVs or tents. This is a great space for gatherings such as: crawfish boils, family reunions, birthdays, a romantic couple getaway or a family escape from everyday life. Come out and enjoy nature and look at the stars at the Ponderosa. Lake Sam Rayburn is 35 min., Steinhagen Reservoir is 10 min. away and Big Thicket National Game preserve is minutes away. Shooting on property needs approval.

The cabin has 2 queen beds, parking for your boat with an outside receptacle to charge your batteries. Public boat ramp is across the river. (Cabin C has 1 king bed with all the same ammenities)

This is a newly renovated guest cabin located on a 70 acre ranch with access to walking trails, the Theuvinin creek for fishing and three miles from the start of the National Park Service Turkey Creek trail and the Pitcher Plant Trail. During summer months the park service has night hikes, canoeing, star gazing and free fishing days. Microwave oven available. Cabin accommodates 4 guest with a minimum of a four night stay. Cabin is nonsmoking.

Country Home, 4 Bed, 3.5 Bath, Pet Friendly

the home is beautiful and spacious. we had a 14, 12 and two 2 yr old and we were able to keep them happy and playing. I would recommend this home and would definitely return.

This little place was perfect. Has everything you need. I also had an emergency late at night and Laura answered quickly and saved the night.

Beautiful place and Naslyn was a great hostess. This place is nestled in one of the most beautiful parts of East Texas with all the amenities. Hammock, pool, and coffee machine. And that bed is one of the most comfortable I’ve slept on!

A well-appointed bathroom is highlighted by elegant marble-like tile surrounding the bathtub. A spacious sink with a granite countertop is positioned next to a large mirror. Natural light is provided by overhead lighting, enhancing the functional and tidy space.

We fished a bass tournament on Sam Rayburn and stayed here. The location was great and only 6 miles from check-in and boat ramp. Home was very nice. Clean and had everything we needed. Definitely will stay here again.

This is an amazing place to stay! We loved the walking trails, there was tons of space for our group, and enjoyed the rustic atmosphere. If we are ever in that part of Texas again, we definitely want to come back! Akin was an incredible host and easy to communicate with.
