Mt.Fuji view/Onsen/Near highwayEX /FreeParking

The place was in a convenient location and was close by the grocery. Space was very minimalist and has a staircase access going to the second floor. We were 5 adults, 2 kids and an infant and we booked last minute so the amenities prepared were for 4 that time. It was hard to manage the heater since the breaker would get tripped when we had to run the heater on all the rooms and was told to run the heater one at a time. During this time , it was an unusually cold winter and it was hard to manage with all the kids freezing. I suggest to bundle up or bring some hand warmers.

Great place to stay right next to the train station. Beautiful views of Fuji right out the window. Many shops, cafes, restaurants, and points of interest within a few minutes walk. Stayed for two nights with my family and we had no issues at all. Don’t miss the Forest Music Museum!

We stayed two nights in the accommodation. For us, the location was perfect and we had plenty of space with our 3-year-old daughter. The place was very clean and we felt very comfortable. Beds were very comfortable. The hosts were there at check-in, they were very nice and also showed us the other rooms, each is decorated in a different color. Our daughter got a small snack right at check-in and then even a gift. The host also gave us tips on where to eat delicious fish. If we had known how great it was there, we would have stayed longer. Thank you for this great stay.

One station from Hakone Yumoto. An inn with a wooden terrace surrounded by greenery and furnished with Taisho and Showa period furniture. Overlooking the city of Odawara from the heights

GearoidRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a great stay and no complaints about the property. It was spotlessly clean, check in and check out were seamless and there was cleaning products left for us as well as a fully furnished kitchen. We were very comfortable the entire time. The hill is no problem if you are relatively fit but getting our suitcases up the first day was a bit tough. If you are looking for a hub between Odawara and Hakone, this location works fine and the accommodation is very close to Iriuda station, however if you plan to explore areas like Mt. Hakone / lake ashi it does take a little more time to reach from this location.

Few minutes walk to the famous Lawson, super convenient location. And the restaurant was definitely a treat for us! Thank you, highly recommended! Can’t wait to go back to Mountain Fuji, and stay there again!

The room is very clean and large, the kitchen is well equipped, there is a bath tub, a vending machine at the door, and a 711 next door. But it's not very friendly for people without a car, you have to go up a particularly steep slope, it's inconvenient to drag your luggage and take a taxi. There are two rooms, the room is the sinking type, it is not very convenient to take luggage. But the air conditioning is pretty good.I feel that it is suitable for people with a cook and driver at home to come for a vacation, but not suitable for students to come for team building.

I love every bit of David’s place. It is located in the peaceful neighbourhood of Joēi, which you can see Mt. Fuji on a clear day. The house is spacious and has everything I need to stay comfortably for a month. There are big supermarket and drug store within walking distance, and with the bike David provided, you can go to a large shopping mall and pretty much all living necessities within 15 min. David and his wife Naomi are extremely friendly and helpful. Recommended me good restaurants and also useful tips to get around. I enjoyed my stay here very much. I highly recommend this place to other travellers when you want to escape the crowd and experience Japanese rural lifestyle.

Easily one of the best places I've stayed at in Japan. The hosts were very kind and helpful, and the condo that we stayed in was so unnecessarily spacious it felt like luxury.
The tranquil courtyard features a combination of modern architecture and greenery. Smooth pathways are lined with small trees, while textured surfaces provide a natural feel. Light filters through the space, creating subtle shadows across the area, enhancing the peaceful atmosphere.

This is a truly wonderful place to stay—surrounded by nature and filled with an incredible sense of peace, accompanied by the gentle sound of birds and a flowing river. Honestly, the photos don’t do it justice; the property is even more beautiful in person, and I’m so glad we chose it. Eriko was a fantastic host, always attentive and thoughtful. We walked to an onsen just 10 minutes away, which was an amazing experience. The private onsen on the property was perfect for my little girls (5 and 7 years old), and enjoying breakfast on the balcony with the sound of the river in the background felt absolutely magical. I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again the next time we visit Hakone.
