Recently renovated in aug 2024, this spacious 6 room house sits on the southern side of tonga on the waterfront, 20 minutes out of central Nuku'alofa. We are quiet, clean and tidy. Highly recommend staying here, house is beautiful. Rooms are big and spacious, I travelled with my 3 month old and they provided a cot for her, beds are absolutely comfortable. Such a family friendly house, dairy is next door which is so convenient. Neighbours are friendly. Will definitely book in for another stay when we come back.

Beautiful place to stay. Everything you need and town is within walking distance. Could come and go as we pleased, never felt pressure. Felt welcomed and left to our own business although we knew Yvette was there if needed. We stayed when no other guests were there, recommend booking 2 rooms if you want your own space.

A dock stretches into clear blue water, surrounded by lush trees. The vibrant color of the ocean transitions from deep blue to turquoise, revealing visible rocks and marine life beneath. Sunlight reflects off the water's surface, creating a serene coastal atmosphere.

Absolutely loved our stay here would definitely come back. Sal and Shelley have created a lovely guest house with friendly staff in a beautifully situated location close to town but not in the heart of it. Private wharf was also pleasant for our young kids to enjoy. Sal was always very respectful and responsive and we greatly appreciate his help. Malo aupito ofa atu

I had such a wonderful stay with Selina - thought i’ll be staying in a dorm room but got a private room instead! Selina and her son, mini boss Masiu are so helpful so I felt right at home from the moment I arrived. Thank you for your kindness and help! Selina offered me local delicacies and drove me town when it was pouring rain. Would recommend to anyone who wants a second family in Tonga!

The Mystic Sands is the best accommodations in Vava’u. Kjell and the team work very hard to create a lovely experience. There location is about a 15 minute drive into town, thus stock up on groceries prior to arriving. A driver is available to take you to town for a fair fee.
