We rented this apartment because it is close to the border between Estonia and Russia. It is only 12 km. The apartment is spacious and has a sauna. It is very quiet and surrounded by green Estonian forests. Our goal was to stay close to the border, but for those who love nature and want to visit Estonia it is a great place. The host is very kind and helpful.

During our stay, two things stood out with equal magnitude, the generosity of Andre (his friends, brother and family), and the beauty of the cottage/lake. If south eastern Estonia is on your list, visiting the area should be on the agenda without a doubt. We stayed there for a week and have not yet scratched the surface. There’s a lot to do there in terms of hiking, cycling and exploring the hidden gems, let alone the daily swims in the lake and enjoying the sauna. It’s possible to have both a calm, relaxing time in the cottage, and a wonderful time experiencing the beauty of the region and the kindness of its people. We started the journey knowing that we would be happy to treat ourselves with this part of Estonia which we hadn’t visited before and ended up knowing that we will revisit Rõuge. Thanks Andre for making our visit special and see you again soon.

Прекрасное жилье , тишина , природа . Дом с новым ремонтом , очень теплый , все число . Было предоставлено много полотенец , чистое постельное белье . Очень приятно , что рядом тишина и покой ( к нам даже приходили лесные животные ) Определено советую посетить это место , что бы отдохнуть от городской суеты и побыть в тишине и красоте . A fairy-tale cottage with many romantic decorations. Right in the middle of nature next to a lake. Lots of places to sit outside, outdoor kitchen (as an alternative to the indoors one), outdoor shower. Very clean. Altogether extremely nice property, our family would definitely recommend it.

This has definitely been one of my favorite Airbnbs I have stayed in so far! The place is very beautiful clean and tastefully furnished. Sinne was also a great host who was always ready to respond. The place itself is near Tamula lake, so you can also enjoy a beautiful view from the windows. Definitely recommended.
