This house is just a 27-minute drive outside of Tekapo. We were initially looking into staying at Tekapo but didn’t manage to find “the one” so we explored the towns just outside and found this beautiful place. This house is in the perfect location! This house was well thought of all the floor to ceiling windows just makes you enjoy the view. It snowed on the first night and it felt like we were inside a snow globe - magical! Beds were comfortable, bathrooms had all we needed and the kitchen is well equipped. Definitely worth the drive and worth every penny. Thank you so much, we will definitely be back! ❤️

We loved our stay at Kakahu lodge. It’s the second time I’ve stayed here, this time it was a work retreat. We made use of the pool, outdoor dining and pizza oven, kitchen with everything you can think of (two dishwashers was so handy), and the open fireplace. Large spaces were perfect for a group and the linen and beds were comfy and high quality. Richard is so helpful and lovely too even ensuring we had plenty of kindling for the pizza oven 😊

We loved Kat’s place, perfect to relax enjoy the surroundings walks, yet you are close to everything you need. Comfortable beds, lovely lounge with a fireplace and lots of personal touch’s that always makes a difference to the experience. After 3 days there, my wife and I felt so at home, that we really did not want to leave.
