This place was absolutely magical! When we first got out of the car, we immediately heard the rushing water, & with the beautiful surroundings, felt like we had stepped into a fairy land. Pictures do not do this place justice! Great place to explore Daintree area from. We had fun doing all the Daintree stuff, & also enjoying/exploring the property & swimming in the water hole. So relaxing! It was amazing to see what they’ve done with being totally off the grid. That of course comes with a few quirks, but that’s to be expected, and the setting makes it totally worth it! We lost power once, but that was due to an issue with the backup generator, & not a normal thing, & Katherine immediately took care of it. She was responsive & so helpful & accommodating right from the time we booked. The beds were extremely comfortable, and we loved the “rain” shower. Kitchen was well equipped, and everything was clean. Highly recommend! (Note: there’s LOTS of road construction; allow extra time!)

This was our favorite Airbnb rental ever. A cassowary walked through the yard 45 minutes after we pulled in! First the location is stunning. The house is 2 km down a dirt and gravel road of the main sealed road. It is surrounded by lush rainforest and is extremely quiet. We could not hear or see any other neighbors and felt like we had the rainforest to ourselves. The house itself is spacious with a large main room and two bedrooms. The main area has lots of seating, TV, kitchen, and dining area. Even though the house is off grid it has all the comforts including air conditioning, dishwasher, and good WiFi. The outdoor area is very pleasant with seating areas under both front and back porches and an outdoor dinner table. There is a very small pool that we didn't use but looks lovely. There is also a grill and laundry facilities outside. There are small sacrifices being off grid (you have to watch power usage at night) but if you want a place that is truly remote this is it!

Lovely spot and the little extras Jule left for us were so appreciated after a long drive up. Loved it. The beach is so tranquil and just steps from the house.
