If you're missing your dog at home during your vacation, you can see other dogs at the North end of the beach is an Awesome dog beach.

This is a real, beachy beach on Coronado Island and the dog beach is right next to the Navy base. There are real waves here. Parking can be tricky on busy days, you may need to walk some blocks to the beach, but it's worth it. This beach does have an area to rinse off near the street.

Our favorite family beach. It is a wide beach with golden sand. It also has free parking with good availability. It's also a good place to watch the military planes taking off and landing.
