Checkout the desert in bloom during the spring in Arizona. Also a great spot for birdwatching and hiking.

Worth the drive! Dramatic setting at the base of Picketpost Mountain. Enjoy the walk and enjoy the many plant varieties of the native Sonoran Desert..

Boyce Thompson Arboretum is the largest and oldest botanical garden in the state of Arizona. It requires entrance fee. Located at 37615 E Arboretum Way, Superior AZ 85173, beautiful place about 55 miles from tempe. While inside of the property by crossing the bridge up to the mountain there is a beautiful hiking and views. Over 390 acres along queen creek and beneath volcanic remnant, lot to see! Bring snacks and plenty water, no food available in the premises.
