The Heijo Palace is about one kilometer wide and one kilometer long being served as the emperor's residence and government offices. Due to its historical and cultural importance, it is included as one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Nara. The Heijokyo History Museum, which was built for the purpose of commemorating the 1300th anniversary of Nara Capital, houses a replica of a ship which was used to travel between Japan and China during the Nara Period.

"Heijo Palace" celebrating the capital of 1300 in 2010. Anyway it is wide and it is the size that most outdoor sports can do. Why do not you think about the Nara period at the Heijo Palace, where the Great Palace was restored just to commemorate the capital 1300?

Heijyo Palace was established in 710. It used to be a central of Japan.

710年に藤原京より移転784年に長岡京に移るまでの都、現在は大極殿と朱雀門が再建され、当時をしのぶことができる。公園としても春は桜も見事でお弁当をもっての家族も多い。
