Saline Vieille or des Moines, a little further north of the coastal tower of the sixteenth century it extends for about 25 hectares the saline used since the Roman era for the extraction dell' "white gold." It is a basin of salt water closed by the dunes towards the sea and mounds towards the hinterland, today become safe refuge for the pink flamingos who chose it to park in a stable way.

Just a 2 km walk along the ionian coast will take you to this amazing nature reserve, where flamingos nest for parts of the year.

Un luogo fantastico dove vi potrete immergere in una riserva naturale, fare il bagno nello splendido mare che ne fa parte e..se siete fortunati ed il periodo è quello giusto…osservare dei magnifici fenicotteri rosa.
