THE Go-To Taiwanese breakfast dig. Get some fantuan, zhajiang mien, turnip cake, dan bing, green onion pancake, or shao bing with some freshly made soy milk or peanut milk!

For fried dough connoisseurs, the you taio is an absolute must; think of it like a freshly fried churro minus the dusting of sugar. We love it best inside fan tuan—essentially Taiwan's answer to the breakfast burrito—a rice roll filled with fried egg, pickles, and the aforementioned cruller. This is an excellent way to kick off a food crawl through the San Gabriel Valley, America's first (and still largest) suburban Chinatown.

$ Tiny little hole in the wall Taiwanese breakfast and snacks. Hidden in a strip mall and cash only, the atmosphere isn't the best but the Fan Tuan and house made soy milks are good.
