Balboa Park has so much to offer, beautiful scenery, museums, ethnically diverse, historically rich, culturally abundant! Get lost in time exploring!
Classic city park with lots of museums. One of our favorites is the Museum of Photographic Arts.
right off of downtown. It’s hard to believe, but our very own Balboa Park is actually bigger than the more famous Central Park in New York City. Even more surprising is Balboa Park is nearly double the acreage. Central park only has 842 acres. home to many gorgeous museums
Museums, architecture, restaurants, and open space! And of course the zoo is here. Balboa is the heart of our City.
Great playground and museums, lots of space to run around and explore even if your kids aren’t into the museums.
beautiful architecture. nice place to stroll and sight see. lots of museums. make sure to visit food truck Friday at Balboa Park.
Beautiful historic buildings, museums and the Zoo is right next door. There are also trails you can hike.
If you only have one day in San Diego I say visit Balboa Park. You can hit up the visitor center and catch the Old Town Trolley Tour. This is a hop on/hop off tour that can last all day. It will take you to all the local hot spots and you don't have to worry about traffic and driving in a new area…
Visit in San Diego should include visit to this park. Japanese garden , rose garden . Museums , park & nearby San Diego zoo must see.
Always a fun and memorable! The BEST scenery for photographers and to take family photos. Don't forget to go across the street to smell the flowers and see unique plants and trees.

“Great place for hiking and dramatic coastal views. My favorite hike is the Ho Chi Minh trail (start from Torrey Pine's Gliderport). You can hike down to Black's Beach from there -- San Diego's very own nude beach! The Ho Chi Minh trail hike is challenging, you'll have to walk through slot canyons, streams and climb down the side of a rock with a rope. There is a more accessible trail right next to the Gliderport. ”
