It's a small museum but you can take a hike or picnic after!

Right across from White Pines Lake, a great museum with stuff for kids to check out. (The Arnold Rim Trail starts from here and the first mile is paved and an easy walk for families. (The views of the forested canyon are wonderful)

Open Thurs - Sun, April 1-Dec 1, 12-4 pm. Great outdoor exhibits anytime, with a giant jammer, crawler tractors, a Willamette donkey. Indoors they have dioramas illustrating the history of logging in the area, info about local flora and fauna, a miniature logging operation. Friendly and knowledgeable staff are happy to talk about logging, the history of Arnold, etc. Back deck overlooks White Pines Lake. Can access the Arnold Rim Trail from here.
