Red Sea is one of the oldest authentic Ethiopian restaurants in San Diego. They offer their customers traditional Ethiopian food, allowing them to discover Ethiopian culinary art without traveling thousands of miles to Ethiopia. As well as their delicious dishes, Red Sea serves quality coffee. Ethiopia is the birthplace of coffee, so it’s not a surprise that this restaurant serves good cups of Joe.

Authentic Ethiopian. Can be very slow service on the weekends, so I don't recommend taking young kids there. Food is EXCELLENT.

If you want to try something out of your comfort zone, Ethiopian is delicious! It really makes you cozy with the person you are eating with, sharing the same large plate. I rec the vegetarian platter!
