After climbing the narrow stairs you will have the most beautiful view. Try to go at sunset.

It's a remarkable baroque landmark designed by the Italian architect Nasoni, who also designed the adjoining church.

The Clerigos Church was built between 1735 and 1748 in Baroque style. It is crowned by the Clérigos Tower, which is one of the most emblematic monuments of the city. Clérigos Tower is the tallest tower in Portugal: its 76 meters high and over 200 steps give access to a privileged panoramic view of Porto.

The views from the top of the Torre dos Clérigos are amongst the finest in Porto, so it is worth the small charge and the climbto the top of the tower.
